But Lightning has a very low knockback when not directed directly below you...a bit of a shame...since 90% of my skillpoints are lightning... can't train necro hands or fire :S ... hard...

Cool strategy with the disc launcher I found out:
when the screen is empty of enemies, shoot discs into the air (almost straight upwards). Then, when the enemies come the discs you fired will come back down upon the enemy ships!
Or you could take a sip from your soda instead :D
