Yup very much so! I think there's still plenty of new places for incremental games to go so I'd like to prove that statement. I normally stick to a 5-wk dev cycle but I have to learn a lot of new things for the next game. So expect maybe 1-2 months for that one to come out :)
penguins are a huge checkpoint, iirc u need to depend on warrior cleaves for any hope of beating th timer. chat is gone and while thats a bit unfortunate for new ppl there are tons are really great guides and data sheets. you will find links listed throughout the comments section. ayn fight you cant outwit you can out WAIR so keep at it ^.^
i liked the hectic pace, the game offers enough berth to go for set bonus (usually) or point stacking when u can afford to drop the bonus for pure stats (last boss)(no need to worry about min/maxing if u are picking up all your perks), shame it doesn't have a second more difficult play through. would also have loved to see seven armor slots (3set+4set)(maybe from boss first time?). anyway great game if a little short. really enjoyed, thanks!
Nice job breaking down the flow of stats over time! Some stats have more or less value depending on how many perks you collect and you're right, it's much more forgiving in the end game. I like the way you think when it comes to more features. I'd love to have new maps/skills/bosses in a full version and I'm happy this proof of concept has been getting a lot of praise!
@DanielL152 the game has not been online for some time, even when it was you still made zero progress when the client was not loaded and running~ you only need internet access to load the client into your browser. your question seems a little unclear to me perhaps your autosave is not turned on?
- please upvote - centuryv08 comment (scroll down a bit) for links to the database put together by various vets of this game. its a great game but th difficulty will have you fighting tooth and nail for nearly every increment of progress and while some aspects have been made easier since the game has been made offline it can still be incredibly frustrating without a little guidance
(returning player, rerolling from t14)
Devs were very involved with th community during its hayday and the game is very well polished, yes there are a few new bugs but nothing gamebreaking.
I can see from top tens lists that players are now capable of easily exceeding the old obsidian(resource) wall so at the very least you can simply out-WAIR the bosses if you struggle too much with the stat and tactical requirements
don't bother to xfer game is not that big but ur Dad's got it goin on. cleared full several times-ish..its great AnD fR33333! support dev for $1, SD2 comin 2019! for hawt toosh #12monkeys I want it bad and I'll beg
=> ~Lv20 => Go To First Dungeon => Set Rest 80%+ => spam for Exp, gold and full hero gear (all preferences - off hand, bows, int gear etc) run exp pots here and lots of meat. Should get you going +1!
Boss chests are the only place to get gear, it seems the drop list for each boss is both extensive and many drops shared. Items also share a basic name but have a prefix to differentiate them, this prefix is separate from the prefix 'weak''fragile''empowered''hardened' etc and denotes a completely different item e.g Savage Valaska vs Valaska, this example 'savage' is not an indication of item quality - they are individual Valaska's. Monsters are not a good source of gold, instead farm shards and soft reset for a direct gold bonus (and item level bonus) from unspent shards. Upgrade panel bugs frequently just re-toggle the panel. Sorry if my comments are a bit of a spoiler but there seems a great deal of people struggling to make this work for them and missing out. Enjoy
a couple of points - if ur game is crashing soft reset (its probably mages so dont use them) the goal is collect mana shards so dont spend them (or less than 5%) mana forge is pretty weak anyway. Iv never had a problem with saves so its likely ur browser isn't configured properly, exports apparently dont work. If u cant toggle progression though mob tabs or hire peasants - refresh (it can help to unlock another slot also) theres a ton of bugs so refresh page is often a solution. Try to remember this game is unfinished so u will need to play smart and apply some simple logic on occasion, dont necessarily buy upgrades just because they are presented to you. missing out. Enjoy
*Mages cause game crashes* (sad)
Longbowman build (decent for all enemy types) De Corbin(not fortified) Fierce Leather and either Rapid Jewel or Death Charm. Mix a flat stat with % increase i.e Damage(flat) * Damage% same with Hp (Hp only useful for lich types maybe riflemen). Rarely are healers useful, early game drop chance for shards is so low a quick kill farm works best with a full group of range dps. The game lacks extensive play testing, overall balancing and needs a lot of further refinement but there's a really solid base here for a great game. If there was a single thing i would immediately change is the duration of play using whatever method or several. If left to idle, this can be completed beyond pointlessness within 36 hours.
love it, albeit a little short. i would have been happy to grind this for weeks and despite all the bugs im on my second play. would love to see another version. *you may need to buy 2x hero slots before the first will activate properly but its no consequence really as your guys dont function very well solo
If you like this, Check out Idle Raiders:Second Run which is far superior imho, Its still being updated with new content either already released or due. Should keep you going till IR3
Glad to hear it :) I get tired of the fishing minigame in fishing games myself which is why I wanted to develop a collection focused game like this.
