Playing as warrior on 3rd island right now: keep earthshaker and bloodlust low level, spam bloodlust with claymore or if you have high stun use normal attacks with a dagger, bosses attack slower if you are right on top of them.
OK, maybe helping with upgrades is working. Someone just helped with my building projects and shaved off 8 hours of build time from all of them.
It's probably still a bug though, because of the massive reduction in build time.
Not sure where to post bug reports, but something that started happening in the past couple hours:
When helping others with building/upgrades, the game informs me that I've reduced their build/upgrade time by 100% of their original build/upgrade time and the build/upgrade bar is completely filled.
When I leave the compound and then go back to check it, the build/upgrade times have reverted back to before I helped, and I am informed that I have already helped with those upgrades.
Tips for newbs:
1. Stick with your team and don't solo.
i. Exceptions would be if your team is hopelessly outclassed and you don't feel like quitting. You might be able to draw off 2 or 3 minions from other team and give your own an edge.
2. Target the squishy minions first. Kill splodges and docs last. Also concentrate fire.
i. Exception is if there is only 1 good player on the other team. Always target him/her first.
3. Run up to docs to kill them. Do not just click on the doc and leave it at that. After clicking on the doc, click behind the doc so you get in their face. Otherwise the doc could outrun you and get away.
i. Only applies if you are a splodge or basher.
4. If you are a splodge, don't run from a basher if you do not have support nearby. Bashers have the same speed, and they have longer range. You're just giving them free hits and experience.
i. Exception to this is if you can manage to get them caught on a corner.
