Puckle Gun gains power as you upgrade walls. Far superior to the canon because it keeps shooting. When you have these on earthworks in 2 staggered rows behind 2 rows of soldiers you never lose.
All canon ranges are the same and I see no difference from upgrading. Same fire rate, same effect on massed troops. Save your gold for other upgrades. Game developer needs to fix this. The different soldiers have different ranges and different damage. You can tell by the rate that enemies die. The assorted wall upgrades do help.
Short on iron? don't worry, the game will send an incoming attack and steal more iron from you just to rub it in. It'll be sure to ask for more in defense EXTORTION than what you have... or to make you lose even if you pay it.
incoming attack is just annoying. "You are being attacked... spend to defend?" If I spend to defend let me fight the battle. Then give me loot for it when I win (3X what I spent). Failure to defend should lose the town... Whats with the last 4 maps having superwaves from the start? Is there a way without spending hours playing old maps to build up resources and train to win these? These are just stupidly hard. place enough knights and warriors to stop the first waves of walking hordes and yo don't have the resources to put up archers to stop the next 2 waves of flying. Put up the (fully upgraded) archers needed to stop the flying and you die because you don't stop ANY of the walkers.
Waves coming out before you even dig your way to your house? I didn't know this was supposed to be a test of mouse skills... -4 for that alone. I was liking the game until then.
Start out letting out roadsters level max level you can send at least 3. Build to level 5. Let out all you can at a time and then stop... never let out just one. Eventually you can spam out the lev 5 roadsters forever. Build up enough cash to send 6 more level 7 Schnell (fast airplanes) than you need to win. Level done. Works till the last map... then you have to spam out level 5 Turt'ls. (never 1 at a time...) That's a LONG wait to build the cash to send out the airplanes. Fortunately you can build up to have all 4 entrances spamming them to speed it up some. All earlier maps the Turt'ls can win... last map they will never make it out.
I wouldn't have played as much if it didn't have badges... can't give it a 5. Once you get a 6 elementals up it becomes too easy. Map 4 is just annoying especially since you can't keep anything you loot fr0m the chests. The only reason to mess with the chests is to clear the manitcores protecting them.
you can kill everything with poison balls.waves 1 and 2 you lose a bit of money (20 gold returned for 25 cost) fromthen on you gain money since its 3+ gold per kill giving at least 30 gold per 25 spent. later its 60 and up per 25 spent... you never run out of cash
blue towers = winning.... rocket towers = winning... anti-air towers = waste of time and space... Needs a little more time before first wave starts to allow placing initial towers or hotkeys (shift-click for keep placing same tower). Its tower defense, not mouse operating speed test. Once you have a good defense set up you can just sit back and watch the score build (about wave 50 on) So there are issues with game balance. 27 waves of wasted time each map.
Game balance issues:
How many hit points are possible for a character at level 62 with maximum boosts?
Compare that to the level 62 monsters...
Creature hit points are so obnoxiously high it requires 2 people cooperating as if working on one of the area bosses. The Frozen North (new area) is not playable by a solo character unless you buy a lot of gems to get the super equipment.
