1/5 just for the pro "pathfinder" comments by the developer. The game for all the people who are horrible to play with and got kicked out of or pressured out of their gaming groups. I tried pathfinder society once. The worst pile of grognard neckbeards I ever tried to put with. Also, this game does not show action points of abilities never to them. Just have to test and click each one, each turn. *not enough action points, not enough action points, not enough action points*. That is absolutely needless.
I think this is the only game I have played that in order to get 100% completion and a bonus increase to passive income, I have to deliberately physically harass a woman.
I purchased the upgrade via "gamer safe" and I am going from hosting site to hosting site trying to find a way for it to work. It vanished from both the main page of the game and from newgrounds, and it is not honored here.
Once you have a few achievements, health regeneration and force field is all you need. I die more often getting instakilled comming out of the upgrade screen than I get any use out of any of those other abilities. I do not even like the counter attacks because they waste my force field time as I am trying to approach a tough baddie getting randomly stuck in a force field wasting kill animation. Also, wish I could drop knives. They build the white bar slower, so I cannot force field to guarantee a speed power up and instant kill a big bad.
The dark weapon spell. What all guardians/quests on what floors must I be sure to have beaten before I cast it? I assume it follow secret BS upgrade rules make the enemies permanently stronger in secret. Any advice?
I wish you could delay an overseer fight until you are actually present. You only get one shot at them, and they require micromanagement in the battle to be successful. An idle game that ruins your entire run if you look away at the wrong time. That.... is the worst game design conceivable.
Just some advice. If every other blacksmith run is giving you a 5 skull artifact from the red box, and all the enemies are 1 skull in power, and the remaining 3 recipes are ones you do not really wan't..... never open the last grey box.
I am up to 25% archer crit now. I need 4 crits in a row (1/256). Best so far was 3 crits, a normal hit, and a final 4th crit. So, failure. Last enemy before boss on a dark mana level. Will reset after this, but damn if this last patience check is not really souring my gameplay experience. Also, secret enemy scaling variables based on your upgrades that are not listed anyplace in game is bullshit. There is a reason why final fantasy, dragon quest, and phantasy star franchises blew away the Lunar series in popularity. Nobody likes that BS even if it is put into a top notch title.
Here is a nice list showing people both doing it well, and also listing some horrid errors. Consider where you land in this and why. When the player has no fore knowledge or pattern to recognize, it is just cheap. http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/LevelScaling
Let us see... 20% crit chance, I need 3 in a row to win... 1/125 chance? With my fast spell recharge I can try once every 2+ minutes. Click spell 10x, wait 2 minutes. Pull slot handle. Repeat 125 times. Hey, I got one.
I wonder how much better recieved this game would have been if they just named the 3 characters something different so they were not burdened so much by peoples expectations. Also, if the dark mana was gradual rather than just at milestones that they themselves are massive difficulty walls. *I am looking at you level 30* Gerd damned time sunk fallacy! I will not reset until after a dark mana level even if it makes me dislike this game!
It really does sound like most people's problems with this game would fixed if at the start of each level it was paused until the first move was made. Then it would be more the fault of strategy and not having the cursor over the right spot during the stage load screen. Seems like such an easy fix. That is problem of knocking off another person's game though, isn't it? When you do not develop the idea yourself and just parrot it, these are the kinds of things that don't come to you.
If your active quests are too full, can you miss a quest? Is there a quest that gives a cleric armor that I, and seemingly a lot of people missed for the same reason? I have not found a point in the game where a single enemy hit does not 1 shot the cleric even if a ton of resources are spent oosting hp and defense. Like "yeay, I have 400% defense bonus to my 4 defense, that reduces 4000 damage to only 3968 but I have 3000 hp so moot point". That is a lot of upgrades that do nothing.
The ranger is both superior in every way to the knight to begin with, and it's upgrades are superior. They both ignore all armor, the ranger has higher dps (after they both have 1+ manual), cost, and range. What gives? I assume I am missing something or some stat is misrepresented.
Damn. I keep trying to give these developers money, but kongregate just wont let me. I was "temporarily" blocked from using a credit card for a few years now. I really wish I could support these developers, but kongregate is just so shoddy sometimes. So many great features in this game.
