Like the concept of customizing your party, but it has a few issues. The main issue is that armor is basically worthless. Each point only provides 5*lv*multiplier. Meanwhile, each point of hp gives 50*lv*multiplier and each point of heal gives 20*lv*multiplier. Considering how quickly enemy damage increases at later stages, the armor is nowhere near as effective as maxing hp and having dedicated healer/s on hand (even if this makes later fights unbearably slow).
Just started a new map and hadn't put in any heroes into the spaces. Started orc horde. They just marched off the map. When I placed the first hero, they all marched back. Hilarious, but concerning.
It may be just the way I play this game, but the sniper balls on mass make each stage go by in seconds after upgrading speed with prestiges. And since the black blocks on higher stages don't seem to be affected by other balls, it seems obvious to just focus on those.
There is a bug. The game is muted, even when turned on in settings. Can't complete secret recipe challenge, unless I go through all possible combinations until I get it right.
My only criticism is that the challenge dropped after lv 50 or so. When you had multiple directions to look at from the end point, the number of clues rose, making it easier.
@alterburner you do realize that you can use time loops to try again if you don't get the hero you want for a specific type... Right? New players who don't want to pay attention to the health of their heroes are better off if they get battle healing early with hermit as opposed to waiting significantly longer to get it with priest.
Admittedly, the game requires patience for first time players. However, with enough artifacts boosting hero damage, the time between time loops becomes much shorter. I normally can get past stage 300 after a few days. However, please note that unless you want your heroes to die, try to obtain the hermit/priest ability battle healing. And unless you can wait until priest's third form level 80 to get it, it is better to get it early with hermit.
The biggest problem of this game is the upgrade system. Upgrading only increases a buildings usefulness by 1 unit and is more expensive than simply adding a new building of same type nearby. With this, it is far more economical to just spam lv1 buildings in clusters rather than waste money upgrading individual towers.
The upgrade system is highly biased towards the player. Focus on melee tree and you can beat every mission on hard just by spamming warriors and rangers.
