@rockydennis The description said that you would need an ASCENSION all-stats bonus of ee8. Forgive me, oh wise one, for thinking that meant the bonus from ASCENSION. Thanks for the downvote.
I think there's a typo in the description of the stagnation trial. The first level said I needed to get to an ascension all-stats bonus of ee8 - that is, 10^100000000. I didn't even bother queuing that trial, it was so obviously impossible. I finally realized there was probably a typo, queued it up and succeeded almost immediately. I think it was probably supposed to say e8 or 10e8, not ee8. That is, 10^8 rather than 10^100000000.
