Gotta say Escape type games aren't my favourite, because most of them are either pixel bitching or plain illogical puzzles. This one was a welcome change of pace. Basically what everyone else says: the puzzles are logical without feeling trivial. Good job!
It seems you can only move n+1 cards at once, where n is the amount of free stacks in the top left, or more if you have a clear column. I don't recall if it's always been like this, haven't played FreeCell in 15 years or so.
Update feedback: the new Pawn move is cool, but I don't like the new starting deck. I want my Shields back! With 2 Specials stacked on one card, it hinges even more on blind luck to be able to make the required play.
Wits _and_ violence! I love it. My only gripe is that ultimately it hinges on luck a lot. Especially in the Blight levels a single "bad hand" (like 3 Pawns when you're in top row) can mean the end of the run. Anyway, just finished it so I know it's doable. ^^ More levels pls. :)
Hey! Actually, the top row is where you want to be if you're at risk getting a hand of 3 Pawns - one of them gets promoted to a Queen which should open up the possible moves considerably. You're only really at risk of getting paralyzed in the middle of the board.
I don't understand what I was supposed to do at the final boss. I just kept jumping and jumping but didn't see how I could do any damage, and then after a while, he just exploded. oÔ
Weird. I got the badges in Sep 2011, after the last update. I don't quite remember which ship I used for the final levels, but pretty sure it wasn't Shock&Awe (can't remember ever using that at all). Now I replayed it and S&A was the only way to beat the final level.
How to defeat Hyperion: buy RED ship, Shield, Leech Bomb, 4x Homing Poison Lasers, max everything out. Hit with your rockets as much as possible. Some attack patterns are harmless (safe spots on lower screen edge with minimal movement), some force you to eat damage. Watch your health, ignite Leech when necessary.
Nice, but the puzzles are bit too much pixel-bitching. The Highlight button doesn't help much when 18 out of 20 highlights are just silly phrases. I'd suggest a highlight for actual interactions.
Beginner's Battle Tips: Defense seems to be more valuable than Offense. Always use some Shield, even against opponents with high anti-shield / low anti-armour rating. Make the Shield your biggest component, your weapon one step lower if necessary. This means you will have a lot fewer casualties, which will speed up your campaigns immensely and save a lot of resources. So for instance, on a Destroyer you might use Small Fusion, Medium Weapon, Large Shield, Small Armour.
Little help here... I've got the thirsty soul, and I've got the hammer, but I still can't get the baseball. It just keeps telling me about the glass box. Inventory remains unchanged. What to do?
