2/5. Interesting idea but needs a LOT of work. By the time I got to my base all my guys were half dead. There is no way to heal them at the base. Then I go on the first mission and get absolutely annihilated. Overall not a fun experience. The difficulty needs a gigantic adjustment. Did you even play test this before publishing? As far as I can tell it's so hard that it is impossible to beat.
This game needs some global income boosts for late game. One "easy' attack takes me dozen of turns to recover from. Not only has progress come to a halt, I am actually losing ground to the ever increasing difficulty. This game needs a major rebalancing.
Your idea about the income boost in the late game is good, we're putting it down; about difficulty you met, as we said to the other players, in the beginning, it should be normal to find it hard; after many tries, though, you'll find out that you just have to find your strategy. One of us, in his first run, had the same difficulty you met; after 2-3 games, he got to destroy any invasion without any loss. Just keep trying! ;)
45 years on easy. Blah, too much luck involved in survival. A bad year and it's game over no matter if I survive or not. One bad event and it is completely impossible to recover.
The difficulty increases too fast. In about 3 hits I am dead and enemies attack fast. Buying weapons is pure guesswork. Many are just garbage despite costing more. Overall a poor imitation of Balloon In A Wasteland.
First level: Kill all enemies but the boss, get all treasure. Completely annihilated and barely scratch the boss. How does such a stinking turd of a game get nearly 5 stars?
This game lacks good balance. Basic archer towers are weak, basic mage towers are too expensive. Gold for calling a wave early is a tired game mechanic which serves to punish people who make the intelligent choice of not taking on too much at once. Overall this type of game has been done before and done better. 2/5.
In Hapazard it is possible to push enemies over the pit and into the portal. Twice now this has resulted in me losing lives and kept me from a perfect victory.
1/5 stars. This game is frustrating. This is very, very bad. Challenge is good, but I have to replay some levels 5+ times because the solution is counter-intuitive or just pure luck. Crumble Zone is particularly noteworthy in this regard. Victory is completely random. Enemies MUST be hit by mine carts or you'll lose a dozen lives before you can build enough defenses to protect yourself. Tunnel is still broken. I have played that a dozen times and as far as I can tell it is impossible to get a perfect score. Most of the time I just get annihilated because the barriers are too weak and creating a maze is too expensive. I have played that map a dozens times (literally) and only beat it ONCE, and this is after the difficulty was decreased. I simply can not afford enough traps to kill the enemies. I have no idea how I beat it that one time. I have not been able to duplicate that victory.
How does such a horrible game get badges? This is one of the worst games I have seen that has badges. There is extremely little skill involved in playing. It is completely random on if you can beat the game on the first try or play for eight hours before beating it.
1/5. Needs some major re-balancing. Rocket jump is very nice in certain situations but overall it's a power down. It makes jumping harder in many situations. The boss is very overpowered. One hit and 90% of my life is gone. The weak point is hard to hit. It's a small spot that I have to jump to hit and the boss constantly moves around. This is made even worse because my ranged attack only works when I have full health. Then I lose everything when I die. The description says "permanent powerups". There are no permanent powerups.
"Permanent 'till you die." :-D This is a "roguelike" game where you get one shot. You can't rambo through it willy nilly. You must take your time and treat your one life as PRECIOUS. I agree that super jump is a power-down though. I almost always pass it up in favor of the more-controlled double-jump. As you get more powered up (ie: missiles) the boss(es) become a lot easier... until they're not so easy again... dot doT DOT...
I have tried to unlock one chest six times and failed every single time due to a bad board. I understand bad luck, but this is just ridiculous. There is insane lag at some loading screens and during battles with a lot of enemies. There is no explanation of what abilities do. Overall this is good game but it could use some improvement.
