So i maxed out everything, level 101, was doing surivival, unlocked Final Boss. Through the ENTIRE GAME the skill to resurrect me on death has NOT TRIGGERED ONCE. So fighting scarecrow, its at about 25% health. I misclick and down I go. RESURRECTION!!!!!1!!!!11! Get up and beat the tar our of the scarecrow. Epic.
The time lock for destroyed ships has either got to go or be universally lowered to 2 minutes (or less). The game is a lot of fun, and coming up with strategies and placements is incredibly rewarding and I don't mind grinding out parts and ship costs. But I am on the 3rd "tier" ships, and a 10+ minute wait is entirely unacceptable. It MIGHT be ok if ships were segregated into tier-leagues, then I could play my lower tier ships against other low-tier ships. But that is not true, my choice is either wait, pay the premium cost (which 15+ for that is waaaaaay too expensive), or use a handful of the repair packs because if I try to use my low-tier ship it will just destroy my ranking.
This game is fun, please, for the love of christ, don't let greedy fremium ruin it.
So the cleverest part of the game was the "Get 5000 Sun" achievement. I kinda stumbled across what I was suppose to do. I was thinking it was impossible, I finished a level with 10 double-plants out, only had like 1000 and thought "Now what am I suppose to do? Sell all my towers so that last minion runs the whole track!" That is when it clicked, that is exactly what you are suppose to do. I sold all my damage towers, left the slow towers, then just left 1 minion alive and kept using blocks and teleport until I hit 5k. Clever.
Pretty good. A solid 4/5. Really the "grinding" complaints just boil down to "how dare they make me play this game I like?!". 3 notes. One is that a time-trial mode for the first part of the game (the part until you reach the boss) would be cool.
Second is more end game. It is obvious they are planning on releasing content patches from how it lets you collect more pages, but I'm impatient.
Lastly, this really needs to be a cloud save game if you are going to charge real money for upgrade. I beat the whole thing (as much as one can) without paying a dime, but I would be pissed if I spent money and lost my save.
Pretty fun, to beat the last level on 3 stars you need clowns. LOTS of clowns. Also a bit of luck since they do random damage. Throw in a tank and a laser for additional cleanup.
Beat the entire game in hard mode first go around. The only complaint I have is the last achievement for killing is too grindy. I only ever did the hard mode so I guess that achievement takes into account doing every level twice. This was not necessary.
Good game, fun way to kill an afternoon. Provided just the right amount of challenge. Got all the stars, only one that was a real problem was the boulder one, but once i had gotten all the other upgrades it went smoothly enough.
I am severely pissed that that prestige button reset my game. I 100 quad money and had not restarted my reactor since the updates so I lost everything and got no prestige for it.
The game was fun, but i guess a got a little lucky. I spawned 2 crows on my very first playthrough and just played dodgeball until the boss and then slowly annihilated her with my built up weapons and ammo. So I beat the game on my first playthrough.
The black foe was challenging but not insurmountable. I don't believe that it cheats, but it warps in with a massive amount of troops and it is probably programmed to invade a planet with the right number of troops before diminishing returns sets in. I found two things helpful :
1. When dealing with levels with a lot of opponents and the black enemy warps in, it is vital to play to get the other colors fighting and obstructing the black as much as possible in order to wear down the enormous amount of troops the black starts with.
2. For the very last level, the goal is to stop the black, so your actual goal is just to obliterate the star at the center. Build up like 300 troops and warp right into it.
Haha, nice one :p
