No, I'm sorry, I simply can't play this damn game any more. It's like torture. Every basic principle of game design is thrown in the bin, leaving us expected to trudge on with the same games hour after hour with not just one duck but three of the damn things. I just about managed to get through the last one, but this is even worse. Let the poor beasts die!
I just don't get why this game has been so highly rated. It's got the germ of a good idea and it's kind of cute but it's flawed in about a hundred ways. The coins are pretty much pointless because you can't level up your energy above a certain point; it makes no difference to the game whether you train badly for ages or well once, it's completely obvious when you're going to win because there's a set goal, the mute button doesn't work properly because you get a snatch of sound every time you change screens, the training doesn't improve your ability in training, only in the races, there's no real meaning to the words 'qualifier' and 'final' in terms of what they do, ...
I played through to the end, wondering if I was missing something, but really - I just don't get it.
Quite fun but too easy - I could mostly just click through the races once I started winning. Pet hate is an 'achievement' for falling over, which is impossible to get once you've trained above a certain level. Achievements for failure are the worst kind of game reward.
No, when I got to Vodka+Milk=White Russian that was it for me. There's no enjoyment in randomly clicking to find things like that. This series started well, but it's reached a natural end.
FWIW, adding the 'how can I create' hint helped a lot, but it shouldn't have been on the same time limit. What we needed was a list of all the elements that could be created right now, or as someone suggested, a way to tell which combinations have already been tried, or something to relieve the monotony. If the authors feel that makes it too easy, make it an optional game mode.
One thing that would improve these games *hugely* would be to replace the 'some of these elements can combine' hint (which just leads to mechanical trying of all possible combinations, which gets dull pretty fast) with a 'try to make X' hint. Then you know 'I can make 'poison' with two of my elements, so which ones might they be?'. That would keep the game much more creative.
