This game would be so much better if it had more checkpoints. It's not that difficult to beat any of the bosses, but having to replay three waves to get to them again if you happen to get unlucky on your first try is just cruel.
If you're having a lot of trouble on hard mode, you can easily farm the second boss (the eskimo with the saw) for cash and ammo. Just get him to a flat spot where he's easy to doge and stock up.
If you're going to make the bosses' tasks be completely arbitrary things that are not properly explained, DO NOT MAKE ME DO THE ENTIRE LEVEL OVER AGAIN. 1/5
Level 58 is just stupid. I beat the other 59 levels without ever dying more than twice per level, but 58 killed me about 20 times. It doesn't take a whole lot of skill, just a ton of luck, because the stupid gray ships go too fast to dodge effectively if they spawn off the visible screen.
It's a pretty fun game, but it would benefit a TON from increased difficulty. All you have to do is upgrade your stats a bit and then get as many cells as you can as quickly as possible and you'll easily win every level.
The game is all right, but far too much of it is based on precise timing instead of clever puzzle solving. Level 13 is especially bad for this. What is the point of making the middle guy automatically trigger? All it does is force you to be very, very precise with the timing of the other guys.
It's pretty clear that the developer didn't spend much time on this game. Hit detection is pretty bad, and for some reason if you get stuck in a laser beam while he's at the top you hardly take any damage, but a laser beam at the bottom will kill you.
Did anybody else think 10 was way harder than 11 and 12? I probably spent an hour trying to figure out 10, but 11 and 12 each only took me a few minutes.
Pros:
Badges are super easy to get if you just spam each character's good attack.
Cons:
Terrible controls.
Attacks often look like they hit, but they don't.
Way too easy to spam.
Some attacks are completely worthless.
There is no character balance.
Overall, it's a pretty terrible game.
This game is all right, but it is MUCH harder than it needs to be. There should be a little area off to the side where you can store pieces that you aren't using. As it is now, the pieces that you haven't placed yet are all jumbled in with those that you've figured out, and it is needlessly confusing.
Are scores in the billions really possible? I got the second highest score today with 255k and roughly 30k per minute, and at that rate it would take about 100 days of straight playing to make it to the top all-time score.
