I personally find the archer's attack (two squares straight on the forward diagonals) the best for completing defend quests. A lot of situations come up that allow you to hit multiple enemies at once, and unlike with mages, you can leave the task of placing a unit to block the enemy's path until the very last minute and still be able to attack them, meaning you won't have to place any more units than necessary, which is hopefully none at all so you can keep the gold.
@PJ: someone before you unwittingly answered your question: there are potions to increase max HP, and you can get unlimited numbers of them from the rank 3 defend mission "Nasty Necros" which I can do without placing units or taking damage.
To all those having problems with the last charge of 'sending' items, I think I've figured it out. The targeting code for it doesn't compensate for the bag's disappearance, so you end up sending a different item than what you intended. Basically, click where the item will be after the 'sending' item leaves your inventory, and you'll be fine.
Major bug: You can click on and use recipes you haven't learned yet. If you're wondering why this is major, the recipes don't give any useful information about the item anyway, so there's no real reason to buy recipes. I did so anyway, just for the sake of completionism.
@yodude: you can lower the damage yourself by wearing Dark element resistant equipment. Additionally, have natalie not use up her turn on the turn you kill the last enemy, so that she can put up a barrier before the monolith can attack.
Protip: Your medals are carried over between files. If you need to kill the bosses again due to lost medals, start a new game. Better yet, beat the game and then beat all the bosses again in a new game +
@Penthelisia: It's technically a reference to a genre, not a specific game. For those who don't get it, there is a genre known as Bullet Hell, a sub-genre of shmups which turns 'screen full of enemy projectiles' into an art form. Bombs in these games tend to erase the enemy bullets in their blast radius, making them extremely helpful to non-deities.
@Varkarrus: the mouse changes to the 'hand' pointer when it's over her boobs, so they probably just happened to move the mouse there and then got curious to why the boobs were apparently clickable.
I know I'm not Tukkun, but he's actually done some math and concluded that it is impossible to get to level 9001 without hacking even if you were a computer anti-idling 24/7 since the game came out. Everyone on the level highscore board is therefore a hacker.
The developer has done the math, and concluded that it would be literally impossible to get past level 7000 in the time the game has existed. Anyone above that is a hacker. In fact, probably quite a few below that are hackers too.
@Drakkose: you're misunderstanding the story. the first cutscene is one year before the game, the second cutscene is six months before the game, and the last cutscene is after the game. All three levels are in chronological order, and happen after the first two cutscenes. The creator could have written it in a less confusing way, but it isn't time travel.
@TwstdMr: I previously had the guild upgraded twice. I did level 12 on epic, upgraded the guild 3 times, then did the level again. I got 42k from kills the first time, and 44k from kills the second time. This is a small enough difference to be a fluke, and certainly doesn't show the difference between a 40% boost and a 100% boost, which is what the game claims it to be.
There are healing spells, but the first one you get is basically a small potion for 25 MP, which is what you get from a medium ether. The second one heals twice as much for 45 MP. I haven't gotten a third, but it probably exists.
@NoRaptors: that's a problem with your browser, not a problem with the game. Try pressing the key that's repeating again, and it should stop repeating. Alternatively, don't use hotkeys.
