Also appreciate how if you removie "nia" from the title, it spells DJ Max (as in Technika for those that don't know). (Probably gonna get minuses for this one -.-)
My head almost imploded when I saw Overdrive was on here. Also, I play Technika a lot. While a good amount of it is similar, I don't mind. He admits that it was inspired by the game, so who cares. It's kind of nice for me just to see something close to the game I love. Stupid as that sounds :p
This is by far one of the worst music games I've ever played. The music is decent, not fantastic, but it is fine enough (I am a metal fan for those wondering, I'm not hating on metal). There are just bad points to this game...mostly with the mechanics. The note choices are absolutely horrible. Who made these charts?
They're just pathetically horrible. Beyond the charts the game just does not like registering notes all the time, so either the timing window is ungodly small, I'm the worst rhythm game player ever (the guy who plays level 10 songs on beatmania), or it is shoddy design. I suspect the last option of the three. Most of these incidents happen on double notes. It's just unbearable. It would've been fine if this had just been a submission to Kongregate. But given three badges and a card challenge? Kongregate must've been desperate for a Christmas themed game to give a challenge and badges to. I hate to be critical. I love music games, they're most of what I play, but this just isn't front page material. An okay try, but please...go for quality rather than just "hey lookey, an Xmas themed game...BADGES!" Thank you. (Sorry for double post)
Great game, so is frantic, and btw, for those that are yelling COPY OF FRANTIC!! maybe think about the fact that frantic wasn't exactly the first ever scrolling shooter game ever -.-
