got the badge after probably 20 playthroughs. It is one of those where you know it is attainable so you keep trying, but you really don't have much room for error. You might be able to die once if it is one right after a checkpoint.
Fantastic roguelike. If you're wondering about gold, you'll eventually run into a wandering merchant. Ended up winning finally with a ranger that I basically turned into a rogue. So high stealth/evasion. Find a good melee weapon in addition to the bow. That way you can kill the sleepers and deal with the reflective ice golems. great combo using the deadeye skill and then the power shot and tunnel shot bow skills.
Congrats on your first win! Quite interesting that you went the stealth route for your first victory. Mostly I see people just pouring everything into either A) ranger range damage or B) Necro skeleton swarms for their first victory.
starts out promising but basically turns into a bullet hell game after the first few levels. The gun never really upgrades and you have to stop dodging to use your specials. 2/5. grinding out the badges anyway because that's what i do
once you figure out the logic it gets pretty easy. Only had to play a couple levels more than once. It almost seemed like the last few levels you realized your had played it all out, too easy! Fun little 5 minute brain teaser tho, good work!
For those struggling, the key is to build your units at the back of the map (or middle) first, so they get experience that makes them stronger, and then build your way forward.
getting this hard badge literally 5 years later. anyone having trouble with lag, try getting adblock plus. i had trouble with lots of games on here until i got it.
fun little game! wanted more levels which is rare. Badge isn't loading for me though! Will try and wait, hate having to screenshot and message kongregate
the hardest part of the hard badge was just unlocking the Passage level. If you're patient, these are all actually pretty easy. Basic strategy is to only head one direction, and then basically "climb a ladder". I head right, then move up one step at a time, but always continue heading right. up one, then back to right. It's tedious but it makes all the levels beatable pretty easily except may death and sea.
