I loved the gameplay and concept, but I found the entire affair to be a bit on the easy side. Perhaps add more challenging AI, or more disadvantages to the player? Using the pause-sell-expand strategy, I was able to beat each level way too easily.
I finished the game before badges were posted, but completing another mission allowed me to get them all. Save for one. The "Kill a boss" badge is impossible to get without restarting the game. :( I've already killed all the bosses.
I love the fundamentals, it's smooth, fun, and relaxing. But don't you think it's a bit short and/or easy? I am not exactly the most skilled gamer in the world, and I managed to beat this game with like 4 upgrades within 5 minutes. Perhaps the sequel will feature more enemies (the bombs are kinda easy to avoid,) maybe moving platforms, more upgrades, longer gameplay?
I've gotta say, I've been a member of Kongregate for about 3 years, and this is definitely in my top 5 of all games I've seen here! Clever gameplay, smooth controls, infinite replayability. Plus, I'm a sucker for strategy games. Fantastic job!
No one was complaining about the game before Premium Content was added. I do not understand that. THE GAME HASN'T CHANGED. It's exactly the same as before the content was added. So pull your thong out of your asscrack and stop bitching.
Wow - to all of you who are requesting a speed-up button - I am impressed. I had a hard time beating this game on NORMAL speed. If anything, I'd like a slow down button, please.
For people who (like me) had a lot of trouble for level 5 initially. I'm sure there's a way more efficient way of finishing it, but here's how I did it. Cover every possible surface with generators, max out firing speed, reactor efficiency, energy storage. Once you get to the "boss" creeper, create a teleporter thing to make things easier, create about 15-20 blasters, put them right above the highest line of creeper, put the game on FAST, and go make some food. When you get back, they may (or not) have made some progress. Move them closer until you have a clear line to the bottom. The end.
I literally breezed through every level of this game, using Tecumseh and Chuck mainly, but am totally stuck on level 15. The guys that turn invisible as soon as you hit them always get through eventually, and the positions (near the end) that I NEED are taken up by scenery. Could someone post a detailed runthrough of how they beat that map? Also, what bonuses do you have?
I absolutely love the concept and feel of the game. That being said, there need to be several crucial adjustments/changes. 1. Money is too easy to come by. I only actually HAD to buy 2 guns. Perhaps have the game remember coins collected on the first attempt at a level, so you cant just recollect them infinitely. 2. The enemies are too predictable/easy to kill. 3. Perhaps add another element to the game, such as limited bullets, a neutral race that you shouldn't kill, boxes you have to push around, etc. 4. Speed things up. I felt like I was spending half the game waiting for a platform to come down. Make them faster or make everything faster.
You have to finish mission 12.
