(monkey beacon, for instance, costs very much to level up completely) Once at level 48, spend your time killing clumps of balloons with Pineapple bombs- you should be able to gain, over the next two levels, more than you can possibly spend on bombs, so you can essentially win the last two levels by dropping bombs. they kill at least 20-40 balloons at one time. They do not pop black balloons. DO NOT waste your time purchasing Supermonkeys, they cost far more than they will ever kill by the time you can afford them. Positioned correctly, a monkey beacon can cover every tower you need on the blue map, allowing an incredible range to all of your towers. with a monkey beacon, a tack shooter gives as much range as a leveled boomerang, and as much as a standard supermonkey. the uuu2 route of completing a hard game is not the only way... but here is what I have seen (tested on track three, dark blue with lots of right angles)- by cost, tack shooters kill the absolute most balloons... they outpop the regular, or the boomerang, or the spikopult. the Missiles cost an absolute fortune, but when you need some very light quantity of balloons popped, they work excellently, popping balloons at almost twice the rate of tack shooters once the screen gets full of balloons.... one major tip for completing hard is that you should have all the towers you need by level 48- and they should be leveled up almost completely by that point, with exclusion of just a few.....
well, I see that a lot of people think they know what to do- but I must say- while those work... I preffer having elves (racial prefferences, don't you know?) and utilizing the whirlers... they are just so awesome to see in action! plus they are the only real way to kill a troll, as opposed to just going around it....
unknownkiller45- go to the hydra level, and level up 1 physical, 1 energy, and 1 red unit... it took me 3 tries, but on the third, I had leveled up my hero's enough to complete it....
@shaoxiong- each little flag is a battle you can fight... the whole world map is, that I know of, visible from the start... also, there are the different pages, such as "heroes" where you command your heroes, or sell items, etc.
@Aceedwin- usually, you don't need to level up every character as soon as possible... in fact, on most maps, it's possible to win the game without ever leveling up any unit... however, I have not noticed a "lag" in the sparkle effect coming on... So I don't know what to tell you about that
What does armor do, exactly? I know it makes the damage count go down, but how- is it direct correlation- 20 armor removes 20 damage from each hit? or what... Thanks
