The door idea is a bit... odd. Maybe it's just me, but it would work out better, if it was water spots, flames and energy fieds or something like that. Doors that only let pass a specific element just doesn't fit in the same concept as trees of life and elements running around.
Strange that near the and of the game you suddenly realise you don't need to go fast, and actually it's much easier to avoid obstacles when you go slower. Not like the cops are going to get you if you stop, they'll just go right ahead and run over other cops. A bit strange...
