Assimilations need to be made more exciting. They need some kind of effect that applies right away - in most idle games you look forward to Prestige because it lets you do things faster than you did before and the effects are immediate. In this game I assimilate and then question why I'm still playing, because I'm doing the same thing I was doing moments ago except now it's *slower* than before.
When it does give rewards they're not too exciting either. I was excited the first time I used Fairies and then realized that they're just plain worse than Farms outside of shaving a few minutes off of your very first reset for peasant happiness. Getting absolutely nothing from the next Assimilation was salt in the wound.
Tried to play 3 times in a row, all 3 times one of the tutorial messages popped up on the right side of the screen and the button to continue was off-screen. No way to keep playing so I gave up.
