@goalie25, retain means that you get the assistant as soon as you have enough currency to afford it (for automatic paddles, that means that once you get 2500 tickets you get the paddles). Keep on the other hand means that you start with automatic paddles without having to purchase it before. Keep is more powerful.
@hankmurphy There are some dead end floors, likely higher up you encountered a floor with two down staircases. You need to backtrack and find the other one.

I love this game!
It runs much smoother than cut the rope, has much
better music that fits the mood (but needs better looping i guess)
and much much more different abilities!
while cut the rope tests you on how long you can procrastinate,
Orange gravity 2 tests you on spacial awareness, and manipulation of gravity!

and the demoman should get plus 2 to cap time with the paintrain...
and the rocket jumping soldier...
and backstabbing spies that can go invisible...

apparently, it took 4 level ups, 20 thousand coins, 5 item finds and like 40 minutes to beat it
It was probably due to my resistance to use anything more than mice and the flames
