Too grindy, more or less only linear upgrades, and the enemies aren't terribly different apart from needing a different spell to kill or being one-shot BS. The gameplay is dull and lacks variation in general.
Far too easy, though I may have been lucky. I found very few locked rooms, generally had armor or enough money to buy it, and I never really had a need to use plasma outside of boss-fights.
I feel like dead enemies should really start bleeding before they hit the ground, as I pretty much have to kill my combo if I wanna refill on BP. Other than that, this is pretty much the best DMC-style sidescroller I've ever seen!
Not really a roguelike. If you mean Binding Of Isaac-like, the roguelike part of BoI was the permadeath, random dungeon, and unlabeled and unexplained items, rather than the whole Zelda-as-a-shooter bit.
I love the graphics and the music, it's sure as hell got style, but I'd really like to see more of a complex game behind it. Looking forward to more from you!
Really hard, but really fun. The quiet music is a nice touch, too. A bit more kick and power on your gun would be nice. I'm reminded a bit of SUPERHOT, except in reverse and without 1-shot kills.
I cannot profess my love of this game enough. The music is amazing, to say the least, the art style is perfect and fits the tone completely, and the writing is fantastic. 5/5, one of the best things I've seen on Kong in a while.
I will indeed do that and thank you for the play! Appreciate the comment too! I love the feedback and everyone here has been supportive and encouraging. Really makes my day! Best, -Tim
You're right about that : Maybe some unlabeled item would make the game better, we'll think about that. Thanks for that comment !
