On a more serious note, well done. The combat was nice, challenging, and innovative, and the story seemed to fit in perfectly. I'm gonna go find that book now.
Darkwolf, try playing the game further than the first level. It doesn't really play an important role in the plot, if anything, it got them into even more trouble what with their 'rescue mission'.
Also, the difficulty is perfect. It's hard, and it forces you to think and use the environment to your advantage, but it can be won without any casualties, and you never have quite enough money to buy too many upgrades so you have to choose carefully.
I love the environment-based combat. I'd love to see a character who revolves around throwing and pushing enemies off of things, and more environmental hazards too. The writing is fantastic, I can't help but to love Tevoran despite his insanity, or it might be because of it. Anyhow, 5/5, keep up the great work.
Not everything explodes on impact, some require triggering. Molotov doesn't do anything unless it's on fire first.
