I really liked the shaman reading the first time I played and saved a screen shot. Since I had to play again to get the badge (I didn't mind), I got a different fortune and took a screen shot - however, this time, the file I ended up saving said something else. The first field fortune said something on screen, but the screen shot paste was blank in the first line. When I saved my screen shot and opened it again, it was a COMPLETELY DIFFERENT prediction. I mean, I pasted a screen shot into a photo program and saw it on my monitor, but when I saved it, and opened it to look at it again, it was completely different. Every line was filled out to give a different fortune, element, everything. So scary!
Neoman14 there's not a glitch. I had to replay the game to get the badge, and re-learned there's not only a piece on the tree to fit in to keep moving those branches, but a reminder. Since I played before, sometimes, I got ahead of myself for the parts I remembered, but missed some details as you describe. There are two halves that fit together, and a skinny piece that fits in the center of it, but the bell gives clues too. I got the reminder when I tried to fit the middle piece, I never rang the bell this time around, and just try to remember how to complete the game. As I fit those two halves together, there was no way to move them or the center piece together, but a clue popped up. There's a joint piece in the tree to finish that part.
I put off playing this because I knew I would want to be relaxed and uninterrupted, and also hoping that it might get a badge. I loved it and the ending was excellent! It doesn't just stop when you meet the goals, it gives you a gift of wisdom, which goes the extra distance for a game. I played with all the interactive stuff, not always realizing it was going to be part of a puzzle, like moving the clouds around and grabbing leaves out of the wind. Sometimes, you think nothing is going to happen and you are just interacting with pieces of the game, like the memory part seemed to cause an event but I missed it and accidentally reset it (I think). The clues were a little bit cryptic but just keep exploring the scenery, and things will start to become more obvious. Great game, 5 stars!
Still don't understand why people downvote comments about controls and difficulty. These are things the developer should know about, so it's not about disliking the actual game. This happens over and over again, people like the game so much that they can't stand any comment that might seem negative, but the developer might not look at comments that would help them make this game and other games they make more enjoyable experience to everyone. You know, someone can make a great comment and still give the game 1 star or vice versa, which is what really matters. If a comment gives constructive criticism, it only takes 3 downvotes to make it go away, and I don't understand what the F is wrong with people who don't want the developer to make the game better for everyone.
We (developers) are aware and grateful on constructive comments. As we posted the game months ago we wont make more update now. We need our time on something else at the moment. We take great considerations on massive convergent comments, so dont worry we are aware of the difficulty and the controls (and a lot of other things to improve).
I think people are making downvote on patronizing or scornful comments, you have to know the intention behind the message (badge hunters -> may be rude when frustrated).
We do take constructive comments in consideration, as we are curious enough to look at the massively downrated comments dont worry about that ;).
I don't know if Greg will get the message, but the question of whether this should be an easy or medium badge... I don't understand who thinks it's too easy to be medium. I could not get up the steam, and glad I already had 6 badges this week and don't need to hassle myself with this one. I think it's a beautiful game at some level, and enjoyed other games by this developer. The challenging parts of this game were fine except I don't have the patience. What fun or challenge would a game be if something clever and interesting were avoided to keep it too easy? I am not saying "this game isn't easy enough", I am just saying I think the badge is medium and sufficiently challenging enough to achieve to justify its medium designation. I will not achieve it, but enjoyed the game up to the steam vent part.
Sliding levels are more difficult than figuring out where you want pieces to go. Based on the levels we got on Kongregate, it's a process of elimination. The sliding levels make it harder to fit in the piece(s). I don't know why people would downvote a fellow game-player whose only complaint is the game doesn't work with their device and just trying to communicate to the developer? Is this a shark tank or just folks?
I enjoyed it, very relaxing. Nice trees. As for tutorial levels, I prefer solving my way through than being walked through how the game works (that some other games do), so I am playing it again after finishing, and just enjoying it.
I appreciate the creator making free advice for the player who is novice to this kind of game. BOTD came eventually, not too short, not too long. If you don't know what you're doing and you just want the badge, just click "Get Advice" on each turn and do it. It's not a long grind.
I'm just trying to get through this because I only got 4 badges this week so far. It took a lot of tries but I was at the room where two werewolves are on the bottom and I enter from the top right from 5 floors of werewolves. The problem is I hit a key on the lower left of my keyboard, and now the guy runs right through two rooms of teleport floors until he gets to one previous werewolf I had jumped over. None of the other keys work. I don't know what key I accidentally pressed and nothing works to reverse it so I can control the guy again. I don't want to start this game from the beginning again. I tried to play a few days ago and got sick of trying and it didn't save my progress. So that's 2 things that are broken.
