Having no pause button that'd let you show the situation while paused, makes this awfully lot harder. Just a note, doesn't need to change one's rating because of that.
Sinsaint's comment, ctrl ++ combo for firefox and chrome users at least, for zooming, is worth gold for people with problems with this game. Mine is because of bad mouse, that really hinders you here.
I know for a fact here's two kinds of people, those who like good games where you can be better by spending a *reasonable* amount of money, and those who don't like the idea. Can't blame either side. Caesary works like this: people with money or/and extra free time to spend on the game dominate the rest. Just like travian, but here money matters more, and becoming someone's tributal city sucks far more than 10 raids on your town each day, this is what I think of this game. It's good you've made this game tho, there's not too many games that are both decently built and giving something for the audience you aimed the game for. I prefer games where how good you fare isn't tied to how many hundred euros you can spend tho.
I like the idea of a peasant having worse manouvrebility than a warrior or samurai. The game's about split-second advances, tactics and reading the movement pattern. Very, very good game and not unnecessarily prolonged like a majority of games I've played. 5/5, one game that deserves badges yet has not them.
This game reminds me of a lot of people I've met over the internet. This is one badge I best had left unearned... I don't regret it, it's just not like me to obey just anyone who tries to push you for no reason.
I don't feel sad about this guy... he should just sing or something to make himself feel better, who cares if that makes him crazy in other people's eyes. Helps me keep away depression and madness :) and remember that you can't change the past... accept, apologize, forgive.
Yeah rome wasn't built in a day.... but if they had had 500 bucks and the options this game gives, it might as well been a day's job. You spend money, you become better in this game. More so than in other flash mmos, simple. You don't pay, you keep yourself in danger of getting colonized by those who pay or played it before badges came.
Dwarf campaign, troll side-campaign, mission with the undead general and cursed treasure... it's way harder than the one before and the one after it, that mission is. Quite a lottery, you're bound to lose at least one troop.
Basically, if I had 1k euros extra to spend on stuff like this, I could raise a few ranks and gather good army in an hour, while without money it takes two weeks for a guy that needs to go to school or work. You can buy army, upgrade items and even resources if you buy enough zodiac goats. You can buy yourself to top ranks from scratch, even hero exp can be gotten with gold. I don't mind it really.. but it must suck for people who don't have the option to pay for playing, there's more appealing games for them elsewhere.
