once again a cardinal rule of scrolling shooters is broken, auto shoot. who the heck wants to hold down the freaken z button the whole time? starts to hurt man.
i am honestly a bid disapointed in this Decision, part of the charm of the other 2 decision games was the variety of weapons to choose from and the ability to carry many type of weapons to make use of. but this came down to, melee, ranged, and ONE sploder. granted for medieval times that about sums it up. they really should have thrown in a spear or something tho. i used the bow and crossbow the whole game, didnt even look at the melee, why would i want to get close? as such i didnt invest in the melee skills. and making it more about the orcs at the end was........kind boring. give us some new zombies at least, i started capturing trolls and then just strolled through levels like i was god and let me trolls destory everyone. heck in the survival i had 10 trolls following me around, i actually got the map down to 0 threat! it just got too boring after awhile.
awesome game! bit of a winning bug tho, played the side swarm mission (arena) to the point i unlocked all weapons, was using pulse rifle. i save/quit out of it to get back to the story mode, upon entering story mode i was still holding the pulse rifle. cant buy ammo for it or change the equips on it but can still use it and get the pick up ammo for it. btw i was only rank 16 at having the pulse. lock n load baby! :D
this is alright, but its mediocre in standards, you cant which weapons while reloading, the shield block detection is off, except for the aliens seems INCREASED! the purple aliens cant be killed from behind even with a grenade unless you aim exactly for the head. alien weapons seem overpowered and AI more inteligent. and their weapons are always better, ALWAYS which makes it stupid they use human weapons. and really? crossbow for sidearm? REALLY? with that kinda damage? REALLY?
hey one of our race is stuck on another planet! boy he looks like he really needs help! lets send a few random ships with power-ups instead of picking him up and giving him ride.
very good game all in all, wish it was longer honestly! but one huge problem I have with it is at the start of wave 31 the shotgun calling them "retarded" make fun of shania twain all you want but come on, we are above that kind of insensitive calling. I have family who are mentally handy capped so i DO take offense. I know its just a game and all in fun, but its perpetuating a slur thats unacceptable. game are art and all that jazz but you set the standards you want to live in.
