Thanks for the comments. The game is just meant to be a fun blast to while away a few minutes. I'll have to think about the compass, maybe make it a bit thinner or something like that.
Seems like I made a love or hate it game! Just so you know, the game is kind of designed to kill you eventually - your goal is to get the highest score you can while keeping yourself alive for as long as you can.

So are you guys suggesting the following?
1. Reduce the ramp up curve.
2. Remove the luck element at the bottom of the screen (i.e. the blocks pile up from the bottom without setting off other lines - right now it's totally random?).

I've updated the game to make the difficulty levels more interesting and the faster speed of the game makes it much more exciting.
I've also tried to reduce any slow down, that some of you may have experienced.

I think for the sequel I will do more power-ups, more levels and enemies. Expect the faster/ exciting version soon!
