Survival IS beatable. Just build a stack of piercing towers with two boosts in the last row, and clutter first rows with magma and sticky blocks. Rebuild when turned to cheese, and pummel bosses with your sword. Immediately build some eye blocks when Envy is spotted, he is by far the most dangerous of the lot. Worked for me :)
