To all the people claiming that Endless Mode is too fast, it's absolutely vital to plan out your actions so that you always get a chain of three or more. Two-atom chains are not only useless, but they are also actually harmful in that they increase the rate at which atoms spawn and thus the speed at which the player must think. Most of the top scores are from people who played the game carefully (albeit slowly) - hence the general relationship between time and score.
Hmm...I managed to get to 832 seconds without much effort by using the obvious and simple (yet time-consuming) strategy.
As for the game's technical element, it's mostly a matter of visualizing the vector systems of your options (usually you'll have at least one or two choices if you're going for score via the bidirectional atoms).

Wow...I'm usually quite lenient when criticizing games, but this one definitely takes the cake for worst ending design. Hard badge? More like impossibly lucky badge...
