By the time you've upgraded about half way, each attempt takes like 5+ minutes. And after you've pressed 3 buttons to activate the jetpack etc, all that's left is to periodically press space. Either make jumps shorter and worth more money per metre, or add more interactivity during a jump.
I genuinely think this is one of the most beautiful games I've ever played - if you could add a deeper story (some simple Braid-like affair) and about a billion more levels, this would just be the perfect game. If anyone doesn't believe games are a form of art, they are heinously wrong. 5/5
PLEASE MAKE MORE!!
Didn't change my life, but as a 5 minute button basher goes, it was pretty good. But Peter Griffin should've been the protagonist consider the boss :D 4/5
Yeah, it may be derivative of auditorium, but it's still a lovely, tranquil game. It's a tried and tested formula and I for one am glad for more of the same. 4/5.
As many have said, I think this game could really fly if it had some rpg elements too - maybe not an exp system, but using coins to buy upgrades rather than them being for points? Then it would create an interesting balance between trying to get a high score and getting enough money for upgrades.
Also, the physics are off - monster collisions propel you too much if you hit a few in a row. I feel the bumpers/kickers (uncontrolled ones) are too strong aswell.
Great start though! Keep up the good work! 4/5
As many people have mentioned, this game is buggy. And as much as I sympathise with (and infinitely admire) indie developers, there are too many links, it just turns your audience off methinks.
But it's a great idea - a sort of Resident Evil's 'Mercenaries' mode meets flash. Without bugs and the link overload this would be a 5/5.
This is such a genius idea, exactly what the gaming industry needs: music games shouldn't just be about bashing plastic guitars, there's room for innovative games like this. Kudos.
What happened? Guitar Maniac 2 made me believe music games were almost possible on a keyboard!
But this.... lag, poor timing indicators, terrible songs...
