I've noticed that the speed building upgrades the costs aren't the same between tiers like 4*6,500(15 min) =/= 28,000 (1 hr).
The only reason for increased cost for each item tier is to save clicking. You don't want to click 1 million times to use 100k's of 2 minute speedups when you can buy one 168h speedup (at a much larger cost) :3
