The angles make opening up diagonals more difficult than I feel it should be. There may be better opening moves than what I fiddled around with though, I only played the beginning of three games (by myself because wtf are friends?)
I've played many games with the same mechanic, and I was ready to quit after the first level because it isn't really my kind of game. But then I saw the completion messages and I've now finished the first 2 packs of puzzles.
Very fun idle game, decent variety and fun references to find (feels good seeing less well-known, as well as very well-known, IPs given nods). Gems seem to appear rather often, if I didn't keep wasting them on chests I'd probably have all the upgrades already, after recently unlocking the wizard class. I'd be ok with having more expensive upgrades too, just to cut down on the time between maxing everyone and breaking the rock.
Great to see our references are being noticed :D - With gems, there was a bug in the last version causing them to spawn about 100 times more often than intended. The ratio should be right now, so you might have just had a big supply left over from then. If you think its still too fast let me know. The amount of gems you have might also make the leveling process seem easier since you can spam chests.
Thanks for playing!
There were several moments where the complexity of the puzzles initially scared me, but the solutions were surprisingly elegant. 5/5 from me whether I had finished or not, but I'm glad I did
20 customers served. Served the wrong paper, too little of the wrong batter uncooked with a smattering of the wrong whipped topping and no toppings, but served nonetheless.
Just needs a few tweaks to be good, as it is there's too many frustrating moments. I seem to need pixel perfect placement to get my spearmen to stop a charging horse, and if I place a group of troops around a unit that's attacking my gate they all spread out and ignore the one troop I'm actually concerned about
The only good thing about this game is the music, which 100% does not fit the game and has no business being in a game like this, especially in menus it's just distracting
@nowaitforme102 no because they aren't the same 4 levels, they get harder each time you beat a boss, with new and more powerful cards being introduced constantly
The art and overall production value are all on par with a Sierra title about 10 years ago, which is still immensely better than most free browser games today. The game plays well, which you would think would come naturally in a point and click game, but if Kong has taught me anything, it's to appreciate that a game is fully functional. If this game had come out 10-15 years ago as a PC game, and it were expanded upon (the game was quite short) I'm sure it would've been mentioned in the same breath as King's Quest or Myst as a great point and click adventure. Red Herring Studio, please keep making games, this was everything I could've wanted in a point & click game, and now I want more! The people demand it!
2 things all new players should know: The power generator is the single most important upgrade in the game, and you maintain your speed with the rocket out, even without fuel
