PLEASE put the arrows in different collumns! I can't read the arrows fast enough when they're all piled up together like that. Other than that, wonderful.
K... I think I got it. If your tail segments hit anything - even the white things you eat - they get destroyed. Eat enough white things and get another segment. Lose all your segments and game over. Armor blocks the side missiles and pushes the white things aside, blades destroys what it runs into while destroying the blade as well. Enemies can't really be dealt with, so what I found worked was go for the white things, put points in agility and tail cohesion, and to heck with the details.
I'm very confused... I understand that the blade powerup lets you destroy things you run into a limited number of times, but what does the armor do and why do I keep losing segments? I honestly don't see anything hitting them... do the little white things hurt me?
Wow, I love it. Have only one complaint: The flashing in the column when you hit a note makes it incredibly difficult to see the upcoming notes. Is there a way to turn that off?
My only complaint is that I couldn't jump on the enemies to kill them... I'm so used to being able to do that in platformers. I still enjoyed it quite a bit. Kudoes.
Hmm, got stuck in the second level. After going through the straw, all I could do is go left and right. From what I saw, the game is easy. Where's your health bar, anyway?
There's a lot of potential here, but the execution is weak. There's no way to control the game; all you do is click on the cards you can cast. The ability to control the deck you draw from would be invaluable. You could develop an all-magic deck, that focuses on pixies for building and dragons for offense, or an all-brick deck that builds and builds and ignores the opponent, or an all-attack deck that crushes the opponent with no concern for its own defense, etc. Plus, it's very difficult to dig yourself out of a hole once you end up there, whether from the opponent crushing you or the cards you get being worthless. Also, it is possible to pretty much remove one of the aspects from the game: A high wall on your opponent's side, from 2 "+22 wall" cards in a row, means all your attack cards are now pretty much worthless. A low magic makes all your magic cards worthless, etc.
WOW! I finally beat it, with one life too... great game, sweet concept, and HARD! I like it. I would like it better if it had more songs and wasn't so hard... maybe ramp the difficulty up with each song until it's this hard for the last song?
This isn't a game, it's just a demo for the full game. And the game doesn't allow for any flexibility in characters. I tried a magic user: there's no offensive spells. Tried a ranged fighter: the slingshot inexplicably dissapeared during the second fight. Plus forcing the characters along a path, and pricing the armor and weapons far too high... this game verges on unplayable.
