I found a way to heal yourself - i got some gloves that heal you 5 HP per Monster killed. Made the thing rather playable until... u get onehitted again and again by some orange blob just 2 levels above you. Imbalanced crap.

Revenge Waves ARE UNFAIR BULLSHIT.
When you have killed every enemy unit, stand before the enemy castle wich is almost down, and then get OVERRUN & OUTNUMBERED by an UNSTOPPABLE enemy army that annihilates your castle, then that has nothing to do with "skill" or "challenge" and there is no stupid skill card that can save you or regenerating your units. Its just CRAPPY and UNBALANCED
What a piece of crap. Spent 10 minutes to figure out how to get past the stupid last 3 wolves on the ground floor in the house where you learn to cloak, but couldn't find the right timing to land in the hole before i got pissed off by having to repeat the killing of the first 2 couples every single try.
Remove werewolves you already killed when you die, else its just annoying shit.
