The current state of the game can be summarized pretty easily: "Too much grind, too little fun." Although there are some nice additions compared to the first two games of this series, it's basically still the same game, just with so much more grinding that progress can't be seen after every 10, 15 or even 20 launches at some points. I hope you will still do a lot of balancing before this game leaves beta state.
Really? You made the effort to develop a solid game and then add pickup bonusses to a game where you need the mouse to aim? That is just sad and an instant downrating for the game, as it spoils so much from the fun of playing.
Gets repetitive far too early to make anyone want to spend kreds on buying stuff in this game.
For graphics and general game mechanics you'd get 3 stars. You won't get the other two stars because it gets boring rather fast and because the upgrades don't change enough to make you play on (an insanely boring and long amount of time) to get them in the end.
Well, apparently the freeze bug isn't fixed.
There seems to be some kind of problem with the death animation of the boss. The game doesn't react to keyboard anymore, but you can still click pause with the mouse. When you do so, it animates one more frame of the boss explosion each time.
Using Firefox 17.0.1 with current Flash version
In wave 3 Natalie was turned into a slime.
I used the medipack with Lance on her and then it was her turn.
She still was a slime though. So i tried to use Fire Storm with Natalie, but all that happened was that she turned back to normal, still had a curse on her and her turn ended.
You always say, a second part of anything is worse than the original. Absolutely true for this game. If if can't change anything but some filthy little Stats after some fights, where's the sense in watching endless fights? Get us back the Skills of the first part, then at least we have the feeling that we can do something.
Positive:
- You really see a difference when upgrading
- Challenging difficulty
- Achievements
Not so positive:
- Art could use some work
- Different weapons and enemies would be great
- Alltogether too short
So after all it's a solid first game but there's still room for more. ;)
Yeah, the art isn't perfect, and its kinda short. Don't worry, my next game will have both: Better art and more levels. ;)
