@Nate: You're only saying that because you haven't played the harder levels. :P
@Azreal: It's more or less impossible to trap yourself. If you can't go back through the way you came due to height differences, there's always another option. Most likely it's a way to kill yourself, which bumps you back to the last key you took. (don't worry, you won't get penalized)
Honestly, first of all, you guys need to see the big picture. It's why solving a Rubik's Cube or winning a chess match is so hard for you non-spatial thinkers: you need to think outside of the box, literally. See how the pieces match up. I guess it would be harder for you non-spatial thinkers. As for:
"This game from beginning to finish should take a person anywhere from 5-8 hours."
I don't think it should take even the average person 5-8 hours. I admit, the levels at the end were a tab bit complicated, but it's easy to wiz past it.
Towards the end, a beast combo is:
6 Snipers, 4 Medics, 15 Samurai. You could take out a few Samurai in exchange for Snipers, but the enemies near the end tend to use the Strategy of Hemera to freeze your samurai and possibly breaking through that wall if you don't have enough Samurai. If by chance you lose a soldier or two, just use the Strategy of Zeus. 1 soldier sure beats 1 skeleton.
================================================@ghostp8enter: you click on the inset box and drag it. You'll get used to it after awhile.
I really want to like this game, I really do. However, I have to say, I have played much better card games than this. Personally, I think Elements, which is a very popular card game here on Kongregate, should replace Kongai as the "official" Kongregate card game.
I hate it when people say "don't use magic." Sure, if you're playing no magic mode you get 2x xp, but when you use upgraded magic you can finish most rounds in less than ten seconds, compared to a minute without. If you're farming, use upgraded quake and meteorite (it'll take you about ten minutes to get to level 50). If you're playing the campaign and just want to get to the final level ASAP, use quake, meteorite, and golem. If that doesn't kill them, repeat the combo, adding in hypnosis and sending your troops to attack bases.
Personally I think the 4th Safe Breaker (700 coins) is the best deal. For only 700, you get 4 keys. Play 3 on the gold crate, and there is a 66% chance of getting 2280 coins, which is more than 3 times as much as the "entrance fee." Then play your last key on a silver crate: you might get gold coins, you might get silver coins, you might get 3 extra keys (don't use the extra keys on the gold crate, because then there is only a 50% chance of getting 2280), or you might get a spider.
Yup, Enkuro's metaphor was a horrendous metaphor. A better, but not necessarily cleaner, metaphor:
Bathrooms are generally free to use, especially in the United States. Charging extra for all features in RoS is like charging extra to let someone use the sinks or the diaper-changing stations. The good thing about RoS is that it can be funded by ad money. So there you go.
I agree with alpha43omega. Remove the Nidarian Guard thing and release all content to everyone. People will start liking this game, or, if they already, like this game more. The more popular this game is, the more ad money Flipline gets. After all, most games on Kong are funded by ad money, so why shouldn't this?
I am tired and sick of people complaining about the ranking system. You're only complaining because you are all sore losers. And yes, I have played players that have scores a few hundred times greater than mine, but do I complain? No. First of all, even if you lose, at least you get an idea of what cards you need for your stinkin' deck to improve it. If you DO win, you gain a huge score increase. When higher-scored players win against a lower-scored player, they don't get much in terms of score increase. So don't complain, sore losers.
@Malignant Cell Haters: Sure, it can be very very annoying to the person getting malignant cells, but if they have a fallen druid and a good supply of life quanta, be prepared for a lot of damage incoming.
