Fun game, and after you reset the first time it's very quick to build back up to producing Truth, which is something I appreciate. A couple of thoughts: Thematically, I think you should start with 1.0 MA of Active Truth - this representing what your species learned that allowed it to figure out how to unfold its original universe and start again. I also think it might be interesting to have something to 'spend' active truth on, so that it has more purpose then as a general multiplier.
I found a (browser)-crashing bug - maybe it would have gone fine after a few minutes, but... buying wealth buildings, stop at round numbers and allow partial checked, buying 10k regional commodities groups (5.6k can be bought due to limitation in number of local service companies), unity and the whole browser seemed to lock up.
Email games@hexsw.com with your progress (an estimate) and we'll rebuild it for you. I've bolstered against that a little bit going forward and plan to add a cloud save feature over the weekend. Ideally a cloud-auto-save, if that's allowed.
For those who have done it: Around what level do the raiders have a chance in the Throne Room raid? They're around 120 for me, all with the ancient sword, and they get slaughtered with the lowest of the three knights at 70%.
It amuses me that Kongregate locks in the 'rating' at a certain level. Given the amount of backlash the reposting of this game has received, there is no concievable way that it has a 4.0 rating.
Kongregate, at least be honest that when you're being paid enough, the user ratings are ignored and lied about.
Is it possible the Gobuffs can stay set when you leave and return to the game? I went a couple rounds wondering why I wasn't getting bonus charges before checking the buffs and seeing they were all off again.
1.06c will remind you of it. A hovering hand icon will be above Gobu Merchant. As much as I want to add it in the save, it may just mess with it up or wipe it. Thanks for playing!
So, question for those who are later into this: is there a point at which dreadnoughts aren't completely dominated by all other designs? I'm middle stage 2 and the only thing behind the dreads in money production is fighters, because they don't get a lot of upgrade bonuses.
@Hitokirin - You're not allowed to decide how skill points are distributed on levelup, however, which is what we want to be able to do. And I've also seen the same thing as necktweaker - the text says I earned 3 gold from the shopkeeper, and my gold count goes up by 5 or 8.
The idea is good, but the limited amount of upgrades (you need to reach level 20 before you can even active the magic powers?) and lack of variety in enemies and levels makes for a rather boring game.
Fairly basic game, it doesn't really come with anything new or different to the genre. In fact, for me it lacks a number of basic abilities - unable to select multiple hives to send from at once, unable to set up automatic reinforcement, etc.
RE: upgrade Rum Distilleries if you don't have enough rum.: Yes. Except that requires more rum to be able to do, and the upgrades are so minor compared to the growing unit expenses that it's laughable. I haven't recruited any units outside of the ones required in the tutorial, and my rum usage per hour is -69.
I'm OK with Rum being a required upkeep resource. But then it shouldn't be required in equal amounts with wood and gold. The only end result I can see is that you have to farm as many players as possible to be able to do anything, since all the NPC encounters don't give resources, but only more units that I need to upkeep.
Speaking of healing armies, it would be good that when it costs gold to heal the army, that you're given a 'are you sure' prompt. I accidentally spent 1 gold to save 5 seconds because I was clicking too quickly.
What's be awesome on the map is that people who are in your attack range and not shielded are highlighted when zoomed out, not just everyone in your attack range.
I think my only annoyance with this game is that there's no ability to earn credits in game. I'd like to play around with the shooting ranges, but I'm not going to pay real money to do so.
