I thought the levels were in order of difficulty, so I started to get worried when level e was so narrow and long... But the first time I completed it I had a time of 46 seconds, and the rest of the levels were insanely simple in comparison, giving me well under the 200 seconds for the imp badge!
Some advice for those stuck on it? First you need to get past the giant fan. What I do is wait until it comes around, then tap ^+< for a few times, then <, then <+v, etc. For the rotating passageway, just position yourself carefully, wait for the right moment and go for it. The next major obstacle is the moving circle that blocks your path. Just wait until the right moment, and hold > with a couple taps of ^; you can't hesitate. From there, it's easy going, so take your time finding the best path and then do the level again to try for a better time.
Out of curiosity, when you order a pizza, who here actually specifies the way the pizza is cut, the time it's cooked, and the NUMBER OF INDIVIDUAL INGREDIENTS? These customers are control freaks.
Uh... Are all of these complainers playing the same game as me? Version 1.20? Because in the game I'M playing, only a noob would have trouble making it to day 40, and only an uber-noob would "give up" until the game is "more fair." I would expect better from the Kong community... Seriously.
Man... I was on day 66 on Hardcore, with over 40,000 in spare cash, with a team of: bowgun with leech (me), gravity gun, HMG, and auto-shotgun with impact. I was perfecting every day, and was pretty unstoppable.
Then I got hit by a wave of about 10 suicide bombers all at once while everyone was reloading, and my game was over then and there. I couldn't have even repaired fast enough; the damage was all at once.
Let that be a lesson to you all; KEEP A FINGER ON A GRAIL. I had one, but they caught me off guard... Don't make my mistake!
The godlike combo badge is EASY... When a ton of enemies are coming at you at the start of a wave, just stun attack, v+v+spacebar attack, then charge and jump attack left and right until you get to 19 and teleport.
This game is so stupidly hard... I mean, HOW did he expect us to know we had to jump up, grab the fire, jump to the rope, burn it... Such a complicated puzzle, couldn't he have given us a HINT or something? I was throwing freakin' axes at that guy for hours.
COOL! If you play this for 30 minutes to get the hard badge, like I did, and then suddenly scroll down to the comments, everything seems to move to the right. O_o
Optical illusion... yay.
Using a laptop touch pad and NOT having a numpad made the hard badge SOOOO much harder than it needed to be. My left hand had to handle the numbers (pinky and ring finger) while my thumb stretched across the keyboard to the left click button. >_>
The trick is to NOT have your web cover the whole map, and to have a lot of strands that go from one side to the other. If you have a poorly designed web, where everything is hanging on one strand, one fly could take it all out.
Does this awaken dark repressed memories of the pains of getting the first Fanatic's Impossible badge for anyone else?
*shudder*
At least this one is a lot easier.
OMG... 312 deaths on level 30. My fingers are so sore, but that yellow bird is finally mine!
By the way, if the double jump isn't working, chances are you used your double jump right after you walked off of a ledge and didn't realize it; I've done that plenty of times.
As someone already mentioned, yellow birds leave if you take too long, green if you double jump, and pink if you kill an enemy.
One of the best free platformers I've ever played, five stars! It reminds me a lot of Meat Boy: Map Pack, another great game on Kongregate.
I'm surprised how many wimps are complaining about this; video games are supposed to be challenging. Gamers are being babied nowadays; doesn't anyone remember the good old days with the NES? Battletoads, Ninja Gaiden, Castlevania... Heck, even the most popular games like SMB and LoZ were hard.
