Was enjoying this for the past week until... unhandled error. It seems to have broken beyond repair, can't do anything without that error popping up and bricking the game :(
Oh no, I see that mimama lost their progress... I said I was out last time I wasted time only to lose my save. If I lose it this time, this game gets the rating it deserves, based solely on that "feature"... which is sad since it has potential like the ideas that Forhekset laid out.
Well, I just lost the game I'd been working on for the past 2 weeks. It was fine, I never delete cookies or offline files. But today, back to square one... think I'm done at this point, though it's a pretty good game.
Great to get a response. 1. Acknowledge feedback, CHECK. Sounds like you have the passion to do what's needed. Favorited, I want to see where you go with this one (and others). Too many people think they can learn a bit of code and make an easy living off of relatively simple games. The "cookie clicker" payday is over I think... don't give up.
Game isn't bad. I may have been a bit generous on the rating since I believe you could make very good games, with far more depth, I'd hate to see you get discouraged. If you haven't created flowcharts, I'd strongly suggest it, helps to see where problems may be and where improvements can fit. I look forward to your games! But, if you stick to idle games, we like rewards... too much grind without reward and we ditch. Depth would be fairly easy to incorporate as elements can be added and unlocked... morphing the game into something unexpected (oh, we like surprises too).
I hear ya, I love idle games and I plan on adding a lot. I have just been busy fixing bugs as of my release date.
Early next week I will release a patch that should fix most of my last issues and put a few ease of use updates for the players. Once released I will begin working on gear drops or rebirth :3
Thanks for the generous rating ;)
Barbasu, You've got a good game. But, I can agree with Trynnon... we most certainly lose all saved progress. No idea why, but it happens. I go right back to the start.
Third time the "game ran out of memory, contact the developer"... Even though I saved at 9pm last night, I'm still losing quite a bit of time on the game. One more time and I'm done with this one, though it IS good!
Thanks for the response S DE. I'm using Firefox... privacy settings are fairly strict but Kong has full permissions. I get that people would exploit with a import/export component (there's always a few cheaters), perhaps there is a simple way of encrypting the game code... either way, any game that takes a lot of time NEEDS a dependable save function.
Thank you. The problem is that it does work for some (including me), so I don't know what I can do about that. I can only suggest using a different browser and/or checking your privacy settings. I could try to add an import/export system, but then people could exploit the roulette.
Well, that sucks... prestiged maybe 4 or 5 times over the past week... the power flicked off for a second and I found out that this game does NOT save! :(
Oddly, after posting my last comment I went back to the game to rate it and my SAVE WAS BACK! Couldn't click the "okey" button but figured out that you have to click through the text (top left "next" button) before playing.
Agreed Jibbleton... save did NOT work. Oh well, "wasted" time on an idle game with the MOST crucial element broken, not the first time.
Please fix the save function, the game is good but, after losing 2 weeks progress, this game deserves -1 stars
Update**** Strangely, when I open a second iteration of the game while the first is still running, BOOM, it loads my saved game. Complete with offline bonus! Temporary fix for those that it won't save for, open it once, then open a new tab and open it again (while the first is running). Messy workaround, but it works for me.
"Favorited" I showed my wife your comment, you made my day!
