it gets to a point where there's too much lag, also i'd like to see some challenges, a larger map, terrain? things to make the game more creative you know? not a bad start though
crap load of references. i have to say that's cool, but the author should look into a way to create a little less lag, especially with the agents and the flame thrower. my computer is usually pretty decent as far as processing power, and even with the effects on low and particles off i can't beat the white portal area because of the lag. as far as i'm concerned the best perk to skip is the chainsaw one, you can buy it and it's cheap. and if you get the teachers pet's one early on it saves you a lot of time. the author should also make it so you can turn off perks if you don't want them, due to challenges and wanting to keep people alive for evasion and such
i was able to get the hard badge with exactly thirty five kills (i was counting) if you can i suggest saving 13 or more until the 8th key so you can just kill of those annoying purple things. there are no enemies you need to kill after the 8th badge. also you can use the kitty return after you hit a green guy to make him move off a ledge but not kill him. i suggest keeping your kitty claws at level 1 or 2, definitly no higher than three because the reaction time may not be long enough. and remember if you haven't touched a respawn point you can use a previous one to get you out of a tight space without killing more enemies, like where you get the ceiling climb power up. make sure all the guys you hit to kill blocko actually hit blocko, they count as kills. i think that's all the tips i have if i can think of anymore i'll add em. as always a great game!
the hard badge needs a counter other than the card cuz i'm sorry but it's rather ridiculus. for those annoyed by the purple floaty things i have to say deal with it because there are more than 40 of them, including the enemies you have to kill. there aren't many but there are enough.
ok i have severe issues with the game, don't get me wrong i gave it a chance. alright so i played the original portal and they had certain controls, ie one button does the blue portal and the other button does the orange portal. THIS GAME NEEDS THAT HORRIBLY. even though i know it usually fires one first then the other, it sometimes does the same one twicecausing problems with the infinite loop to gain velocity and all around issues. the other thing is it definitly needs either friction or just lower the general velocity of the character because the character goes way to fast and unless you hit the moving ground (i don't really know what else to call it) perfectly i have a tendency to slip off, this could also be a problem with collision detection or object boundaries. i will not rate the game down as they obviously tried to make this game well.
anyone see a max level? because without the ability to redistribute the points, if the max level is lower than the amount of points needed to max everything thats kinda bull. i agree with hotkeys for spells, but i'd also like to see a larger upgrade system with more varience, for both the towers and the skills
the camara movement needs a lot of work. it's not able to respond to where my mouse is and isn't. it seems like this could be caused by lag except everything is running fine on my computer
i completed the game yesterday.. when i came back i got the "finish the game" badge but not the others. then i replayed and still didn't get em.. not cool
