Once I learned the mechanics of the game, I started to enjoy it a lot, and started to question as to where all these old men came from. And why do they keep coming back to the same farm that has been attacked by a monster.
Why do I need to pay money in order to have a better chance of winning? "Try using better strategy" ok sure, but how far can that actually get me before where one enemy unit is equal to my entire army?

And worse yet, why are all of them identical to each other? Hmmm
