It was nice, but I personally believe that the 3D Graphic is not as convincing as an athmospheric 2D. So the scarejump moments did not really work for me. Maybe you could make object smoother and the images a little darker. I also had the problems with the screen, which is not convincing. A fullscreen mode would definitely help. Well, else I did not find the game hard, I believe the only thing was the 5th note, which could be ignored if you know history and can read between the lines.
Good rpg, but it has some bugs. But lets start with what I liked most - the best idea is the concept of dodging, counter and attacking - greatly done - it makes the battles dynamic and fun. One minor bug is that some of the menus don't close. For example when upgrading a sword at the smith. More annoying is it when trying to attack, but accidently opening the spell menu. One mayor bug is that you can get outside of the mapborder. For example in the cave you can step in the darkness without a way to get back. Finally I recomment to take yourself break and than return to the development. You've created an ui and a mission concept this was the hardest part of development. The rest is lets say fun :). You might even consider to ask for crowdfunding.
You can easily find the name of the protagonists by looking up the description of the game. But the name might require some thinking. The game was logical, but fun. Nice work, as it shows you don't need super graphics, not even a lot of options. You need a good story and a plan ^^.
Well as a tactic i recomment going for steel. You can get all ingredients at zone 59 and these enemies are easy to defeat. Calliste is to hard to get and takes to long to be effective. There is also the bug concerning the Quality Supplies Upgrade. As far as I've seen it is infiinte, but unfortunately the gold can become negative while upgrading, which has some negative sideeffects when receiving rewards for winning battles. They become negative as well.
I've recently encountered a bug, where the inventory was shown in the background of the "battlefield" after using several items. The strange Thing was that the inventory was shown, before taking the flasks and other items. Well, finally I finished the last boss - in very end of the game it gets a little boring. I finished the game with 9000 Gold, so in the end it was senseless to go for any treasures. Maybe infinite upgrades could help.
Maybe you could add random loot in survival battles. So that you have chance to find random items. As higher the reached final wave, as higher the quality and chance to find items. An ingame explaination about the contents of booster packs would definitely help.
It seems there is a bug when buying skills. You can buy them for 0 $. I think this is not intended, or is it? Even so there is more dynamic with different unit types, it ihmo gets boring with the time. The usage if skills seems quite wrong, as you have to drop and track them, instead of activating and clicking.
I like it. But it could be better. The "skillsnake" (I try to avoid the word skilltree) of the classes don't really gives a choice how to develop your character. The mix of different classes is however an interesting concept. Sounds, Music and Voices are a little bit to much and seem to end in chaos - even so I deactivated music and sound very soon in the game the repeative voices alone already annoyed me. Ingame Graphics and Fonts could be more polished and seem unsharp even on highest quality. The combat screen seems unfocused and somehow strange. You can get used to that however after a while. I'm not telling to bully you, but I think that you've got the potential to make it better in the next part.
I think Mojo is overpowered for getting four actions in one. My winning team is crystal, mojo and emily and there is not much that stands in the way of this combination.
After finishing the game I want to thank you for the afford of creating this great game/tutorial and I hope there will be an update soon. Its a great serious game even so you should work on the graphics ^^. There are so many free graphic packs out there, you should find some nice things you can add.
Hm 136 and 18 points in the shop left. I personally think it is too easy, especially if you like riddle games. Real IQ Tests use way more complicated 'riddles'. I only had problems with think out of room and glass of disguise. However it is a very nice idea for a game and with some work you could make a serious game, which could be really useful to easily measure potential.
im pretty sure your gold is still positive, its just not displaying correctly due to how the engine handles floating point errors
