There is a way to start with all 7 upgrades and lots of money and happiness. Play through once but end turn 50 with hugely negative happiness. This can be done by selling your farms and raising the food rate on the last two turns (turn 49 get close to zero happiness). You lose 1 happiness per 1000 food shortage. Next game you'll start with NEGATIVE dots! Immediately buy all 7 upgrades, and you will gain money from them since their cost is based on population. This bug has been around for years, I can't believe they never bothered to fix it.
my 5 brilliants were 1-4 and 8. 8 is easy if you invest in meteor, build up the back first, then put 4 dens right at the front to pick off the guys who go invisible. You want as many fear towers by the end as you can make, as you will need to hit the final boss with 1 or 2 blasts because he is strong and fast. I didn't really like this game, it annoys me for some reason. Maybe it's the fact that you can just barely save a gem one wave but you know it's an immediate loss at the start of the next.
the unskippable credits when you get a million is just awful. Can't believe they complain the game took a year and a half to make but now they can "lay it to rest". There are so many bugs still to fix
It's not adding kills right. I just left it for an hour with enemy spawning >1/sec. and it reported 660 kills. For a total of 115 xp. Props for penalizing stasis but you really should explain what gives xp.
squid level needs work. finding the point where a tentacle highlights is hard enough, but it's also hard to tell when the tentacle is actually highlighted. perhaps for bosses you could target by highlighting the number? I missed so many fireballs and had guys attack the wrong tentacle even though the cursor was on the right one.
