I was able to play this fine in Firefox (although I did get the warning window at the beginning). A few glitches but restarting fixed it and autosave meant I didn't have to redo anything. The pixel graphics are much improved this time around. Color scheme is improving. Great dialogue as always. The numbers game is a bit of tedious guesswork. Looking forward to the next instalment. 5/5
Thank you SO MUCH! Your words mean a lot to us :) We'll try to make the minigames a little less tedious for the next chapters, thank you for the feedback :)
The pixel art improved a lot! The screen shake was really irritating. Combined with the hard to read text, I didn't read 90% of the dialogue until it stopped.
Thank you for the feedback. :) the shakeing screen was meant to show that the van is moving; about the text, we're still working to find the best way to display dialogues, we'll try to sort something better in the future.
To clarify my previous comment, I don't think the art style is bad, I thought it looked fine in the other Caos games. I just think it looks bad when it becomes pixelized. So it's not the art style, it's the pixels, if you get what I'm saying.
If you guys need an upgrade on software or a drawing tablet, maybe you should set up a donation page or do a crowdfunding thing. I think you're developing a fanbase and I would be happy to donate :)
Thank you again! :D
The feedback that you and all the other players are giving to us is very appreciated. We take into account every feedback you give to us to improve our games!
About the art style we adopted in this game, it was experimental and we are trying to do the best we can with the resources we have. We wanted to give an "old style" look to the game taking inspiration to the old LucasArts games! :) Next time we will try to make the "old style" effect less invasive and with a better color scheme!
About the crowdfunding and the possibility to make some donations we are working on it. Keep following us for updates! :D
I don't think the graphics are bad, but I think it would've been better suited as not pixel art. Pixelized, it kind of just looks like you did it on MS Paint in 1993. The color scheme is also really unpleasant to look at. I think it would've looked nicer if you chose a limited number of colors per scene that matched well with each other. Anyways, love the gameplay, humor, and story, as always. Look forward to your next game.
We're really glad you liked it! :)
You're totally right about the graphic; we know it's but a poor excuse, but we had to arrange with the resources we have, which DOESN'T include a professional graphic artist.
Our story writer had to do it, but he's nothing but an amateur.
Anyway, we'll try harder and better in the future!
I usually really dislike text-heavy games but this one kept my interest throughout. The rating for all 4 chapters should be much higher. Looking forward to what you come out with next. Great game 5/5
Thank you!
About the ratings... well, we agree with you, but, as we learnt, the ratings on kongregate follow weird process: the admins 'explained' us that the eating IS NOT a straight representation of how the players rate the game; it is, instead, decided by some kind of algorithm. Well, what it matters is that you liked the game! ;)
We hope you'll like our next adventures as well! See you soon!
Definitely a glitch with the Master of Wisdom. I found him, he didn't die, played in both normal and hard difficulty, redid all quarters, still didn't unlock his specialties. Really dampens the enjoyment of the game (in addition to the severe lag that will kill your character).
i really liked the way the story dealt with mental illness, but that relationship with the the therapist is terrible and I hope people don't think those are things a therapist should be allowed to do. Going through her mail, not being forthright with questions her patient has every right to know the answers to, crossing professional boundaries...dear Lord. That woman should NOT be allowed to practice.
Your games are so disturbing, I love it! Great artwork and music, I just wish it was longer. I like the art as it is - anyways, the pixel hunting isn't crazy like some games. I think fading out other parts so clickable items are more apparent would take away from the visuals too much.
A great atmospheric game with nice pixel art (although sometimes too pixely - I couldn't tell what some things were). I wish I could move faster, this guy walked like he had lead in his boots. Also, that end jump scare - not cool. A cheap way to scare, when this game does a good job of it with the atmosphere and music. Other than that, look forward to the next chapter.
Thank you SO MUCH! Your words mean a lot to us :) We'll try to make the minigames a little less tedious for the next chapters, thank you for the feedback :)
