@Duveltje - You can only get 2 flags that way though, and you need at least 3 to max all stats. If you select the last chest and click buy twice (requires 2 free slots and $3250) you will get a flag even if you already have one. Repeat.
When I click outside the game area (to turn down the volume, rate the game 4/5, or leave this comment) I can't continue playing unless I refresh the page.
Also, the option to mute a game is generally preferred.
Finally, since the goal is to get a high score (I assume), it would be good to implement API.

For the lost focus thing, it is really weird (It happened to me too). I'll see if I can do something about that.

When you restart a level, all of the bullets and lasers that are on the screen remain on the screen for the rest of the game. This is particularly a problem with lasers, as it can make it hard to tell whether they are on or not. I think I enjoyed it more because of that added difficulty, but you should probably fix that.
Strategy for max stats. 0:Starting cash=$3615. 1:Upgrade ship, buy lvl4 chest and flag ($3350). 2:Should have $600 by first boss-upgrade ship, buy lvl1 flag. 3:Should have $2300 by second boss-sell chest and lvl1 flag, select lvl4 chest and click 'buy' twice to get the chest and a second lvl4 flag. 4:$4626 by third boss allows the following transactions-upgrade ship, sell chest, select lvl4 chest and click 'buy' twice, sell chest, buy lvl4 weapon. Stats for boss3 are (8,7,7,7,7). 5:Defeating the boss yields $4000; when you reach $5100, upgrade ship and buy lvl1 flag. All stats maxed! [lvl4 weapon, three lvl4 flags, lvl1 flag]
It became easier in the later levels when I switched hands. My right hand covered a,w&s,d,r with the side of my hand on space, while my left covered j,k,l,shift.
