Wait, what? Now the hints are ganging up on me? Aren't they supposed to, I don't know, help?!
So you added another cluetype. And what a great addition it is! Since I can't favorite you anymore than I already did, let me express my undying love for this little gem right here in the comments. <3
Your games are just wonderful, and this one doesn't dissappoint. I found it to be a tad more ... mechanical (if that makes sense - you know, with all the levers and stuff) in comparison to the previous ones. Still as good as the rest of them, just a bit different. It definitely deserves five shiny stars.
This series proves that atmosphere can be everything. You don't need to know what's going on to enjoy playing it. Being in the dark and only slowly discovering little clues probably IS the reason why it feels just right. The Cube Escapes really are fantastic.
Since some people missed it: You can lock ANY number. Mark them as yes or no and click them again for a slightly longer time. That way they will stay locked. Even the dark ones.
Interesting variety of tasks to solve. Some more common, some less. The rotating disc was mean. It was also the best puzzle of the game. ;-)
The nice graphics make for a wonderful surreal atmosphere. I like it.
The deductions - I love them! Most detective games let you collect the clues and that's it. Here you actually have to use your brain. Yes, it isn't really difficult, but being able to investigate myself for once was a lot of fun.
Keep up the great work!
It seems old auntie Minesweeper left her Fiat at home and arrived in a Ferrari instead. It's always nice to see a classic with a new twist, and this one is great. (An opportunity to grey out the combined clues by rightclicking/holding them down would be nice, though.) Lovely game!
The last levels were kind of frustrating because you have to be pexel perfect really often. The "monster climbing" is especially bad. More often than not I could't reach the next one because I didn't jump high enough. Even now, 21 levels later, I have no idea what I did wrong.
The expert level is just painful. It's probably meant to be, but still. I like to puzzle things out, but it's more like "Don't think - react! Oh, and don't miss THAT pixel." After countless attempts it's getting old quite quick.
Despite its flaws it's a great concept/game and a solid 4 out of 5. I like it!
All that wobbling was making me queasy at some point, though. As mentioned before, an option to disable it would be great. Otherwise I have to say: A bit on the easy side (okay, REALLY on the easy side), but fun nonetheless. I'd like to see a third installment in the future - with a few harder harder puzzles preferably. :)
Whoever wrote that screenplay is clearly someone whose mind I don't want to see from the inside. Looks scary enough from my point of view.
Seriously gusy, I absolutely love your games. They are always wonderfully bizarre without being repetitive. Quite an achievement. Can't wait for the sequel!
As expected the newest Cube Escape doesn't disappoint. I dare say it's the best so far. I loved every minute. Especially the feeling that something just wrong lurked in the shadows waiting for me to turn around. The puzzles really add to the surreal, nightmarish atmosphere you created. Great game. I'm already looking forward to the next one. :)
The cheery music is not my cup of tea. It becomes quite distracting after a while so I had to turn it off. Oh, and you might want to clarify the rules a bit. Took me longer than it should have to figure out what exactly I am supposed to do: click the last hexagon(s).
But these are just some minor complaints. The game itself is great! I especially like the fact that you can finish a level with all four colours.
You designed a great little puzzle game that definitely earned its five stars, at least from me.
Thank you, I really put some effort into creating a "deaduction" system that would feel rewarding to the player, so I'm glad that worked for you!
