Some of the upgrade progression is a bit off. For example, I went from the assault rifle to the boxing glove for weapons, and the assault rifle was way better. The boxing glove gave almost no upward force and you got 5 less shots with it. Wasted some money there.
Fun game though, 4/5.
Got a little too repetitive at wave 19. Good game though, just needs to be a bit more fleshed out.
Great music, if it weren't for that I wouldn't have even played :p
If anyone else has the same problem, I found the menu by reading the instructions and found out pressing +/- goes forward/back in levels. I just played again from level 1 and got it.
cannot get the badge of the day because I am already up to level 11 (played before badges were implemented on this game). Refreshing the page only loads level 11 and does not give me the badge for it.
Pretty fun game. I actually liked having to go back to levels I'd lost lives on to regain them. It was fun to re-visit the levels after I'd made some progress in the game.
One thing I did not like was the lasers. They were just annoying. It was too difficult to tell when they were going to go "active". I was going to go to all the levels and get all my ships back at the end, but the lasers stopped me from caring.
The final boss was kinda meh. It was way too easy. I only got hit once, and that was because the next level spawned with bullets already on top of me, it was odd. A big problem with it was whenever I found myself getting backed into a corner by the bullets, the next level would start and I'd get a fresh go at it. Way too easy of a last boss.
The credits were unique and innovative. Good job. 4/5.
Pretty mediocre. The game starts off a little tough, til you get an uzi guy on top of your truck. Then you don't have to do anything for a while (kept putting more uzi-men everywhere). Still didn't have to do anything, started jumping the uzi-men up to gatling gun/bazooka-men. Around wave 34 zombie cars showed up and were actually touching my truck, even with me shooting (first time since the beginning I'd even had to shoot). Figured I'd try damaging rain out. Purchased it, spend the money, and...nothing. No effect. Next wave my truck just got swarmed.
Terrible difficulty scaling.
Stopped playing after I realized there was no replaying missions to grind.
Clearly this will be too easy to screw myself over and hit a brick wall of unbeatability. I don't want to tip-toe through a game, making sure I don't make a bad choice. I want to be able to experiment, and pay the consequences of grinding if my experiment fails.
Only 2 problems. 1, the gun is the most useless upgrade. ever. Seriously, I realized how much it would suck on the first two cars, but figured the semi's gun would get way more bullets and actually do something for me. But no, I purchased it with 5 upgrades, played again and got to literally the exact same point as last time.
2, I kept losing traction on my vehicles early and it would end the game, even though I would have like a quarter tank of gas left.
Weird that the game is getting such amazing praise. It's a decent little rpg, don't get me wrong, but it was way too easy (never lost a fight or felt challenged by a boss), and it was a lot shorter than I was expecting.
Good game, just needs a couple things.
1. Clicking a penguin changes target. This is important so if you have 1 penguin left with a ton of health and he gets stuck on a wall chasing a turtle behind it you aren't sitting there for a minute or two while he sits there.
2. Something to make money collection easier. Whether that's a magnet upgrade, or if the money fuses with each other into a bigger bubble to click or any other idea you can come up with.
3. The scaling of how much money you get for each level is a bit off. I found myself going back to desert level 10 throughout the metal stage any time I got stuck.
I like this kind of game, but the missions were tedious and boring, especially the ones without markers leading you where you needed to go. I found myself wandering around shooting at the asteroids out of boredom. Also, bad grammar makes it hard to take this game seriously. Just needs tweaking to be pretty fun.
May be you just don't like violent games? :)
