upgrading your initial mana pool is unwise, the equation for mana regen is unrelated to initial mana, but the cost for upgrade is. Thus, it takes longer for the same amount of mana at higher levels.
he remade his own game, but oriented in a way less convenient for players. Very nice.
I liked the previous one better since you felt like you contributed somewhat by having aim control over the tower.
ugh, double tap for run? We have modifier keys for a reason you know.
Combat is not fun, get multiple people facing you and it becomes just luck as to whether your jump attack will hit.
The planar combat feels very forced, not fluid at all with the hard defined levels of depth. After about level 3 I decided it wasn't really worth going through however many levels there are.
The control for scroll needs to be separate from combat, it makes for interesting gameplay to try and hit somebody off the screen waiting for it to move 10 feet.
add some intelligence to the turrets, they will damage a guy down to 1 or so HP, then ignore him on the second pass around, meaning more make it through with less health.
make a new engine if you're going to try and make a full length combat game, the achilles engine is extraordinarily low quality for fighting. You are given very little control, and the enemies will simply gang up on you because they can hit through each other.
