I really have no idea who the masses are, or why they choose to vote at all. There isn't much to gain from voting. Much less commenting. This seems to be rather circular logic coming from a guy posting a comment. Stop.
You arrogantly make a valid point. Autosave would have the weakness of trolling. However, the ability to share the "save" command with trusted individuals would be ideal.
Rick Roll is broken. No doubt about it. Something to do with capitalization. I'm guessing that the lack of replies to the comments pointing this out (hopefully) proves that this will be fixed soon. Also, the minigames are indeed not synchronized.
Instead of crying about the price, be grateful you had the free time with chat. The 'veterans' stuck through the one cent and $3 systems... I don't remember near as much dissension toward the move back then.
@Tus3, someone suggested this.
The developer pointed out that the server does not calculate the exact positions of moving troops, each move made by a user is simply stored. When a spectator joins, the server sends every move (presumably with a timestamp) to get the locations precise.
I'm glad I found this a few weeks ago. Normally I don't play games like these. But the graphics are awesome and my thinking capacity can take it. ;) -- It's also cool that the developers respond to comments frequently.
@Those two down there: He has a job. He's a developer for PlayerIO... he also has many projects that aren't worth too much of his time... Everybody Edits just happens to be a successful thing Chris didn't expect to bloom... and now Ridley is taking care of it. "overpriced" -- all that's required is for you to play the game.
And, to expand on Yoshi's #3. This is most often caused by the init packet and large level activity. The level doesn't actually show until the init packet is parsed. But, if there's a lot of activity in the world, more data streams in... fast. Causing an error somewhere.
To solve both of your problems with the troll vote, just don't have a troll vote.
MrShoe made it possible to see the UserID of the user placing the block. If you wrote a bot that made its own rules to decide who is trolling, you could boot them automatically.
@Shiny, a long time ago:
MrShoe already answered this question, why must you ask it? Timed doors. What happens when you get stuck in them? I expect the same event to take place when you come into contact with a moving brick.
Since we're all talking about animation, I honestly think the best 'animation'-related idea would be moving blocks that animate in direction. It'd be useful to have moving platforms. Just sayin.
@Rovi, Holy: I disagree. Honestly, I think the original Portals should cost less than the new ones coming out. Just like with technology when the 2nd Generation (etc) comes out. The first ones are worth less. Also, @Eatin: The minimap used to show 'you, the player' as a green dot, the rest white. This disappeared for a while, and now we have potions.
Don't worry. These upset remarks aimed at kixeye probably aren't doing much against them: This isn't their first time. "Casual Collective" (I believe) is the first site they abandoned after doing work. Granted, it's still online, but barely and glitching.
@Gatm: Yeah. It'd need an entirely different platform and be recoded entirely. Sadly. Luckily though, it's not entirely impossible. Something you forgot to mention is the playerio server. Luckily, they have an iOS beta program for it. So, it's not entirely impossible. Just terribly difficult
Terence: Such an argument can be made simply against Fire bricks.
"MrShoe, that's incredibly stupid. We already have spikes, which let you rotate them. Why would they ever need blocks that can't rotate?"
Sarcasm aside, some people might be creative and not want to make it a problem if you die. If you kill them, maybe they don't want checkpoints to be so easy.
