Solanum, either you are somehow playing a version of the game from before February 9th, or you completely missed the new feature called the "Wave Browser". While you are actively playing a map, there is a color coded list of all future waves right above your HUD at the bottom. When you click on a number, it will pop up with a bar showing all the vital statistics for that wave (minus health, gold, and xp rewarded). The tricky part , that took me a good 5 or 6 maps to realize, is to choose another wave for information you first have to click on the information bar for the current wave to "minimize" it.
The same API error appears whenever I try to load this game. Firefox, Iceweasel, IE6, IE7, Linux, Windows, whatever I try. This game is in need of someone with a clue to fix all the programming errors. The Kongregate API is not exactly rocket science. 1/5 for being an amazingly accurate example of bad, buggy, untested code.
Very well-made game. I thoroughly enjoyed it! I was disappointed at the crippling of the flash version, though. I still feel compelled to give it a 5/5. Good job!
Tivae: Huh, thats kindof funny... I used to do that myself on my keyboards when I played games such as Everquest and FFXI, since hitting the start key accidentally would boot you to the Windows desktop.
Great concept, poor implementation. The lag kills the game. It makes one wonder if any playtesting was ever performed on this game in the first place. Perhaps an overzealous use of particle effects and poor space utilization are the causes... I don't know. Either way, it turns an otherwise fun little game into an obnoxious exercise in frustration. 3/5
The single-player arcade mode was quite easy... There wasnt much feeling of progression with it, either. Getting additional points to spend after every few levels, more levels, and something to win/accomplish would make the single-player side much more interesting
It would be great, except the precision required is ruined by any lag that comes up. Either make the timing a little more forgiving, or figure out a way to fix the lag jumpiness software side. 2/5 for now
Not great, not horrible. Could use a little polishing, such as cost of upgrades, rate of fire, and "swarming" effect of having such a short time before the enemies get to your fort. 3/5 for now
Excellent game, however the economy and difficulty should be tweaked a little. Perhaps more modes as well, such as an unlimited-wave mode or a no-flyers mode. 4/5.

I must agree that the learning curve for the Tower Defense genre can be steep, it is not unavailable to people of all skill levels. Generally, a hint or two gets most people rolling. If you go to handdrawngames.com, you can see sample maps from successful players. If you visit the forums, you can get very good tips from other players. True, most flash games are designed to be picked up and mastered within a few minutes or hours, but games like this really bring flash games from pointless timewasters to full games with real replay value.
