regarding using a remix being 'legal'... um.. no. slightly 'tweaking' a song while keeping the vast majority of it intact as evidenced by it being recognizable by so many people, is copyright infringement. george harrison lost a suit by the writers of 'He's so fine' because they claimed it was similar enough to his song 'My sweet Lord'. . . FAIL!
